We all don't see much difference.

There was a time when "stars" kept their lives private and aimed to be glamourous and beautiful when seen in public.

These days they air their dirty laundry in public (and have far more dirty laundry than the 'regular" American does), don't bother trying to be beautiful - only "hot" - and openly behave in a way that's every bit, if not more, trashy as some of the lowest class people in society.

I, personally, would generally have a higher opinion of a "bar girl" than I have of many "stars". This "bar girl" may actually have good reasons for her behavior. These "stars" don't have any excuse.
