1) People are dishonest, so since the Bible was written by people, why is it trusted?

2) Why are some people so desperate to prove there is no God? Is it so they won't be held accountable for their actions?

If you think they are say how because Im not seeing it? Non seem to even want to talk with other religions. Promoting peace is supposed to be a core of each faith yet many follows dont seem to follow thier own faith. Explain why?

I believe wholely and completely.......and with faith, but...........
For those who don't believe, why not "better safe than sorry"?
You know how some folks keep a metal window cracker in their car, just in case they fall into a body of water, so they can escape?
The chances of that happening are very low, but "just in case"!
Wouldn't you hate to die, only to realize there IS a God?
Wonder how He would judge you?

I guess I'm doing to have to define "really young," too. Well, let's say under 12 years of age.

I am asking this question because I am remembering a similar question someone else asked a while back. This person felt that kids that young did not have the critical thinking skills to evaluate what they were being taught, and should therefore be kept from religious study until they were old enough to be able to think about it objectively.

Also, please be advised that I am not advocating either side of this issue; I am asking simply because I am interested in people's opinions.

I write small concerned emails to someone who i know reads email each and every day. Used to write every day. Now only writes back every 3rd time and it is so hurtful i just feel like crying because i know he checks every day am and pm. why do people chose to hurt others in these so called subtle ways????What does it mean when they dont write back to each one??they are making you feel like an insect or something??reminds me of toni braxton song how could an angel break my heart??Please help and give your suggestions on what to do??

then you can commit all the sin in the world you want and God will forgive you.

that means you can:

(1) be homosexual
(2) kill as many people as you can
(3) fornicate with every creature on this earth
(4) commit suicide...

and all your sins are forgiven.

Doesn't this mean only if you believe in his sacrifice you can do whatever you want and you will be forgiven?

Ok after the flood Noah and his family were the only ones left after the flood. Then 2 generations later we have Nimrod who was Noah's great grandson. Between that time of Noah's surviving family of 8 people from the flood to Nimrod, where did all the people come from at the tower of babel? Where did all these people come from that occupied Nimrod's city?

What would the creation look like? (According to the creationists)
The theory of evolution, despite the gaps in the fossil record, debate over whether complex structures could evolve as the result of random mutation and natural selection can be readily VISUALISED.
For a proper reasoned debate, surely we need a proper visual representation of the origins of life from the creationist point of view?
Genesis provides a very sketchy view of the creation.
No, honestly, this is not an intellectual trap or strait-jacket for fundamentalists, to expose them to ridicule and abuse for their simple-mindedness, ignorance and bigotry. (unless of course they betray this by their replies!)

Ok, I'm so confused. I love this guy so much. we're now engaged. but i realize after my engagement that my parents don't aprove of him because he's not from the same level of "class" as me. i dunno how to say it, but they say he's poor, his parents aren't educated like them ect...
I'm Egyptian so this is how most poeple in my culture think. i dunno if this is stupid or if they're right. they agree that he's a nice gentleman but yet they think he doesn't match me because of those differences. they always say that love will end after marriage so i should always look for rich and educated men. I can't leave him because i love him so much and he loves me. should I listen to my parents? or stay with him?
