he plays cards, likes to read, restores old instruments. he used to be quite active, until this year when he lost his leg. now he just likes to be comfortable, and hang around the house. WHAT do you get a guy that has lived this many years? i need some cool ideas so i can get him a gift that he will really enjoy. im only allowed to spend $50 bucks.

I'm borrowing the computer here at a college library and am in a interesting situation... There is a blonde on the other side of the rotunda thats very hot, looks like a party girl... and there is this adorable little brunette just a ways behind me, looks like the snuggle-cuddle type... and then there is the sexy oriental girl sitting at the computer closest to mine... In a male dominated society, where all social norms are determined by men, when do men (on the down low) blame women for their dual lifestyle? Women did not set up social norms, or social taboos however women are made to suffer when men cannot meet the standards that other men have set in place.

2- which afirmation do you belong (baptist, catholic, temple,ect)
3- Are you faithful to attend whenever the church doors are open?

How do you decide when to say Merry Christmas to ppl and when to say Happy Holidays? It seems that most ppl do celebrate Christmas but a few ppl who do not celebrate sometimes get bent out of shape when ppl say Merry Christmas to them. I live in a large US city (over 100,000 ppl). On the other hand, I am concerned that if I say Happy Holidays, ppl will think (mistakenly) that I don't celebrate Christmas or am an atheist or both.

The is a serious question- no Christian fanatics quoting the bible please. If you are a non fanatical christian, feel free to chime in :) I am interested in other's thoughts. I don't care what religion you are, or even if you follow your own beliefs- I am just wondering.
My take is that as long as you live morally, (though recent tests show DNA determines basic morality and society influences it...another story) you will go on to a better place, whether you believe in the "right" god(s) or not. Why would any supreme being wish others to be punished for being good, no matter who they worshipped. I believe in gods and godesses, but it is a two-way street. They don't exist without worshippers, and humans need something to believe in- that there is something better out there.
Any takes? Comments?

I keep reading questions and seeing answers about how angry the Atheists are at us Christians in the religion & spirituality forum for trying to convert them.

To the atheists out there, if you aren't here seeking answers and you don't offer any answers because you believe in nothing, what exactly are you trying to do here in this forum?

Obviously you aren't trying to save my soul. What are you trying to convert me to?
