who is in Hell, then? And what is the determining factor?? I know God decides but what does the bible say? I thought he forgives everyone.

if you don't repent and turn away from your sins, or if you don't accept Christ as your savior, you go to Hell. I think the unpardonable sin is blasphemy against the holy spirit.

the scriptures say that no unrighteousness will inherit eternal life.
1 Corinthians 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

God forgives everyone who sincerely asks. God did not create Hell for humans: He created it for the devil and his angels. We as humans are given free will. If we choose to follow Satan instead of God, then we will follow him to his domain, which is Hell. That is blunt, but it is from the Word of God. You have a choice whether or not to believe it.

Most Christians believe that the determining factor is this: If a person knowingly rejects Jesus Christ and the sacrifice that He made at Calvary, that person has rejected God. Often people ask whether someone who never heard of Christ will go to Hell. Most Christians believe that God is just and somehow would give everyone a chance. There are just some things we don't know.

According to scriptures, people who have died in a state of separation from God are not in Hell (the lake of fire) at this time, nor is the devil. Those who died without forgiveness are in a place of punishment, true, but it is known as Hades or Sheol, according to most scholars. Satan is still free and roaming the earth, seeking to deceive and kill and destroy. The Book of Revelation will tell you all about the judgements and when Hell will come into its own. Heaven, too, for that matter. Read it for yourself and decide. This is a good question!

The Bible says to go to heaven you must Repent (asking for forgiveness and turning away from sin), be Baptized in Jesus name, and receive the Holy Ghost. (Read Acts 2) Also you live a life that is pleasing to God following His ways and having a relationship with Him. I truely don't believe God personally sends people to hell, they send themsheleves by not obeying the word of God. God's desire is to have a relationship with everyone, but He doesn't force anyone. He gave mankind a choice.

I think you have the wrong idea of forgiveness- I mean God doesn't really ever have to frogive someone- He doesn't have human feelings and therefore get insulted or gurt. But it's a matter of wether or not a person has suffered enough in this world, or if he needs to be punished further.
And besides, God doesn't "forgive" everyone, anyway. I can promise you, no one's getting away with murder.

considering God promises to forgive anybody, that's rather of a secret why some people refuse to settle for it. Heaven is even an unearned present that in simple terms calls for popularity with the help of repentance. that's likely a pretend pride that makes some people pick hell over heaven.

anyone that hasn't accepted Jesus as their one true savior. i mean, God forgives everyone but that doesn't mean that Ur not punished. it says so in the Bible. So, i can kill someone or even have the dirtiest mouth. Sure, God a forgive me, but i will still receive a punishment. and if i don't ask for forgiveness, chances are im goin' to hell. hope that answered your q! buh-bye, and have a nice day!

ps. no sin is worse than another sin. so if i kill someone, that's just as bad as cussing. just sayin'.

God does forgive all but, you need to ask for the forgiveness. Then don't go repeating the same sins over and over again.God Bless

In the bible it says God forgives those who believe in the 'sacrifice of Jesus' (peace be upon him), and that he died for ALL OF OUR SINS.

Call me crazy but i think murder, fornication, stealing, cheating, cursing, commiting homosexual acts, and suicide all fall under sin, in which case since he 'died for all our sins' those sins are covered.

So that means christians have been given a blank check.

Muslims on the other hand believe that once you become muslim, you are responsible from every sin you commit once you take your shahada (or conversion/bearing witness). God can chose to forgive you on sin if He wills based on you stop commiting this sin and repenting.

But if you die while enjoining partners with God that sin will not be forgiven.

God does forgive. You must have salvation in the Lord. You can never loose your salvation. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and ask God into your heart and then pray and ask God for forgiveness of your sins you will recieve salvation.

Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe that God raised him from the death, you will be saved.

There is a difference between forgiveness and paying your penalty. Even though you are forgiven you still have to suffer the consequences for your actions. Forgiveness does not equal obsolvement of consequences or punishment.

The person who murders another person may be forgiven but they still have to go to jail.

I was taught that hell is reserved for those who (1) don't except Jesus as their Lord and Savior and (2) those who don't repent.

Of course, what always confused me was that the Jewish religion sees Jesus as just another man, not the son of God, but I was taught that the Jews were the chosen people so I think they get a pass on my #1 above.
