From what I've read they may not have known the guy was a cop to begin with, so he may not have struck him with the car knowing that. Regardless I don't think the cop was in that much danger that they had to shoot at them as many times as they did. They had no weapons. Any issue these days between a black person and a white person automatically becomes an issue of racism no matter who's right or wrong. It's getting alittle old.

From what I understand.
The dude hit the undercover cop car with the mini van and the cops did not respond. Then he nearly backed over a cop. Again they did nothing. Then when he hit the van again they drilled him and everybody in the car.
Race had nothing to do with the shooting. It happened at night and I doubt the officers even knew what the race of those shot were much less acted upon it.
More so, the guy was either totally thrashed to the gills drunk and was going to kill somebody that night trying to drive home or was actively attacking the cops. I doubt he knew they were cops. Might have thought they were tourists and wanted to scare them. Who knows. Hitting a parked car TWICE, that's a feat.
As for the reaction from the Black community, let me put it in this perspective.
In Houston over a short span of time three men were shot to death under very questionable circumstances. One was Black, one was White and the last one was Hispanic. All three were unarmed when they were gunned down. All three shootings were clearly uncalled for.
The Hispanic was killed first. Three or four cops emptied clips into the unarmed man and one of them actually reloaded and emptied a second clip.
The result, some small protests from the Hispanic community and a large law suit. All other races were mostly silent except for editorials and commentaries like that.
I forget who was killed next the White or the black. I think it was the White guy. He stole a car and refused to pull over leading the cops in a very Rodney King like police chase. Finally they got the car stopped. The guy stepped out of the car and was kneeling when he got drilled by at least three officers. The official excuse was he had a comb and must have gone for it LOL. The result, nothing. A law suit from his family. It barely made the news. No protests by anybody.
The last was a Black guy who was in a car with a narc. The deal went down badly and he got shot by a Narc. He too turned out to be unarmed. All three shootings in a period of less than 3 or 4 months.
The Blacks went out on the streets and protested the killing of the Black but ignored the killing of the White and Hispanic.
When the Rodney King tapes came out look at what happened. A multi-racial group protested at the police station. There were Whites, Hispanics and Blacks there. The Blacks however rioted killing Whites, Asians and Hispanics as well as fellow Blacks. Burned down neighborhood stores, local houses. Where were the Blacks when the tape came out showing a Hispanic man beaten by jailors? Nowhere. They didn't care if unless the victim was Black.
Blacks and Hispanics are convinced cops never beat Whites or Asians. That nobody but them is falsely arrested or killed by cops. That is complete BS. If your poor it doesn't matter what race you are, the cops are going to come down on you.
When Blacks react like this it discredits the very real need to curb police brutality. These men were shot for a reason. Somebody hits my car twice and tries to run over somebody I know I'm blasting them. It's just self defense instincts going on. Most people would either run away or fight back. The cops fought back. They were on a stakeout, They likely thought the guys they were watching were attacking them.
Thats my take on the scanty details that I am aware of. Most of them coming from the family of the dead man but the press has a habit of getting things wrong and it's highly possible that the family of these men were misquoted. It's also quite likely that they downplayed the dead man's role in his own demise.

If what happened did happen as the media put
it, all it shows me is that the police need more
training. As an exmilitary combat soldier I never
had to pump 50 rds on any human being and
I was shot at.Very poor tactical movement by
the police as there was a show of excessive
force no matter what anyone says. 50 rounds
with three un-armed men and only 1 vehicle with
several police officers. You be the judge.

Who are you asking this question? We were all answering ?s at the time. Let me speak for myself, I was answering ?s at the time of the Fatal incident. I don't like to speculate, on anything that the media is told to say. They weren't there at the time to know, what occurred. All I know is it ain't nothing NEW. Does it matter what everyone thinks, when there goes another Human Being. It's OK to kill if you are authorized to do so! Protecting some and Destroying others is MADNESS! It all starts with the knowledge of infinite ignorance. Some of us have to leave ourselves to learn, what we were taught as children is not acceptable! It will END us ALL!

They haven't given a lot of details yet, but it doesn't sound like it was for no reason. He hit and under cover officer with his car after a confrontation at the club where it was mentioned that one of them may be carrying a gun. It seems like the "racism" card is being played more and more to get out of situations. Why were you in the situation in the first place, no matter what color you are????

Most blacks think the guy was innocent because he is black. most whites think the black guy is guilty for using his car as a weapon.
