The is a serious question- no Christian fanatics quoting the bible please. If you are a non fanatical christian, feel free to chime in :) I am interested in other's thoughts. I don't care what religion you are, or even if you follow your own beliefs- I am just wondering.
My take is that as long as you live morally, (though recent tests show DNA determines basic morality and society influences it...another story) you will go on to a better place, whether you believe in the "right" god(s) or not. Why would any supreme being wish others to be punished for being good, no matter who they worshipped. I believe in gods and godesses, but it is a two-way street. They don't exist without worshippers, and humans need something to believe in- that there is something better out there.
Any takes? Comments?

I believe that many deities exist---both known and unknown. However, I only worship several. Just because I may not know of or worship a deity does not mean that other deities cease to exist or are "bad". I respect the fact that others may worship deities that I do not and hope that others return that respect.

His Spirit and word are available for those who trust Him. Anyone who wants to may come to Christ, but only those led by the Spirit are going to want to. I think this is why Jesus said this: Luke 17:21 nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you."

God is a lot bigger than religion understands. All of the Gods and goddesses that have ever existed were just ways of describing the one real God.
This God is unconditionally loving and expects little of us. No judgment is ever called for if there are no expectations.
Just one God, no judgment no punishment.
Love and blessings Don

Well, I believe all godesses are one Goddess and all gods are one God, but because the human psyche really can't comprehend the enormity of Goddess/God, it's best to break them down into entities we can "handle" so when we communicate with them we can speak directly to the aspect of the Goddess/God we need assistance from.
Blessed be!

I am a Deist. I don't believe in but one Creator, but I do not believe that beliefs have anything to do with going to heaven or wherever. I believe it is by having a moral life. We believe that everyone has to find their own way. I do not believe that God needs us.

my religion believes that you must believe in our god or you go to hell. or so the bible teaches us. but i have heard of instances where jesus came to them in a dream or before they died. and so they were, esentially given the opprotuity right then and there to believe. but i also think that some people, who were not given the option to beileve will go to heaven. if they were never exposed to it, then how can they. such as babies. or dogs. i think they go to heaven. Also, i know of a person who will never be anything but athist because as a young child, was molested by a minister. if thats thier view on the religion and the followers, of course they wouldn't believe. i think my god is forgiving enough in these circumstances. you don't go to hell because you were a bad person, but simply because you were given to option to beileve and chose the other route.

Christians believe that there is only One True God™, and that all other gods are false.
You're not going to see any other answer besides that from their camp.

In my religion, worshiping multiple gods is a unforgiving offense.
It is the worse sin one can commit.

There is only one God, who demands all of our worship. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is the "I AM" that empowered Moses to free his people. He is the father of Jesus Christ, who died to redeem us so we may be in the presence of God one day.
All other gods are fakes.
