When I 1st got my computer I sent Emails every day to friends & family. I probably drove them crazy. Eventually I tapered off so that now I write only when there is something to write about; e.g. when to get together for coffee, etc.

I didn't expect to receive responses unless I asked a question needing a response.

relax and take a breath.
Most people get alot of email every day. It takes time and energy to hold cyber space conversations.
In my opinion, you should back off a bit. Only write once a week.
Your friend may not think anything at all, but then again he may be thinking every day or more is a bit much.
The point is, you need to relax about it.

No matter how well intentioned your emails are, the receiver apparently is feeling that they are intrusive. If it were me, I would not send daily emails. Send one a week. Back off and give this person a little space. They will either not say anything, or they will make a comment about why you cut back.

Some of us have lives. We have jobs, families, friends and other responsibilities. I don't have time to answer every email that comes to me, I answer the ones that require a response.

Sorry, but this makes you sound needy and unbalanced.

If someone wrote me "concerned emails" every day, I wouldn't reply all the time either - why encourage obsessive behaviour?

(Sorry if this sounds harsh)

I know how you feel. Most people find it hard to communicate with e-mails. It is best that you call them. Forget about e-mailing.
