Ok after the flood Noah and his family were the only ones left after the flood. Then 2 generations later we have Nimrod who was Noah's great grandson. Between that time of Noah's surviving family of 8 people from the flood to Nimrod, where did all the people come from at the tower of babel? Where did all these people come from that occupied Nimrod's city?

In the previous chapter it is noted that Canaan was already born while Noah was still busy getting drunk. Cush could have been last. Generations do not give you a time line or a head count.

For example, I am one generation removed from grand father. He served in the Civil War, between the states, and thereafter fathered ten sons and five daughters. I am alive some 140 years after the war. If I could find them all, a working city could be populated by my cousins and their offspring. I would not, for example, appear in the Bible as I am the son of one of the daughters.

Factoring for females, the order of birth and the span between progeny will give the beginnings of an answer to your question.

The answer is in the length of the life span of Noah. Noah lived to be nine hundred and fifty years old when he died. Chapter ten of Genesis also tells us of the settlement of mankind throughout the region and the divisions of the families and their descendants. Keep in mind that not all the descendants are mentioned by name.

Noah lived another 350 years. He and his wife had kids. He impregnated some of his daughters and maybe even his nieces. His three sons had children and so on. In 350 years, how many people have been produced around the world?

Getting truth from a bible is like trying to squeeze custard out of a weasel's butt. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you can chuck the whole delusional pile of bilge known as religion and start facing the world in a rational manner. There are no such things as gods.

they had lots and lots of kids.

whats so hard to understand?

if each of Noah's kids had 20 or 30 of spring you can have thousands in a few generations.

besides I doubt that Noah and his family were the last people on earth.

people lived to be about four-five hundred years old back then, and there was no cable TV, so the birth rate was huge.
