He wants to put it up the day after Thanksgiving, I want to put it up a couple of weeks before Christmas...during this discussion, I asked him what the heck does a tree with lights and decorations on it set up in the living room have to do with Christmas anyway? He had no answer...can someone tell me this?

I've only ever questioned my sexuality for a few brief moments before, I've suspected I have lesbian tendencies in the past but never really allowed myself to believe them. Lately I have become extremely close friends with a girl. That was fine for a while until i began to realise that i think i'm in love with her, I've never felt this way about anyone, it's always there this tight and amazing feeling. I'm always think about her, I know in my heart that i would do anything for her. If i could, i would do it in a heartbeat. I want to be close to her and i want make everything okay for her. I've never felt so deeply about anyone, it is deep inside me and it hurts , but in a good way. My friend is actually a lesbian, but she would never believe that i might be too and more importantly i don't know if she'd believe me if i told her the way i feel. On top of that is the whole thing she's my friend and if i tell her i like her as something more it could cause problems. What do i do, am i gay

Thanksgiving has been celebrated as a day to give thanks to God for His gracious and sufficient provision. President Abraham Lincoln officially set aside the last Thursday of November, in 1863, “as a day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father.”

I'm thankful that I live in a country that was founded on Christian principles, founded by Christian men. Wether you want to believe it or not, America is a Christian country, based on Christian morals.

Who here is thankful for that?

~~~If Im not having company for thanksgiving dinner,,,,is it wrong to have "stove top stuffing" with our turkey,,,,it kinda goes against every thing I stand for regarding stuffing,,,,but my husband and I work all week,,,,,and we wanted this to be a no fuss holiday,,,but why do I feel guilty that Im not going to make homemade stuffing,,?? and is it silly of me to even think about it,,,its just food,,,its just stuffing right?

How do you feel about millions of turkeys being killed for a tradition? Why is it even a tradition? Pilgrims didn't eat it. Pilgrims did eat special meat on this day, but they didn't eat it often, you know why? Because they realized they needed to save it if they wanted the animal race to live. Sure, they ate fish, but only because they needed to. Personally, I usually think eating meat is okay (as long as it's not from a factory farm), but millions of turkeys killed for one day...
