First off, I've always been a spiritual person and have always felt that someone somewhere was always with me. But about a year ago I began to research Judaism. As it turned out, many of the Jewish principles of faith truly resonated with me. For instance, beliefs alone have never served to keep me a moral person; it's evident that my thoughts tend to be more pure when I concentrate on "doing" good.
In any event, given these thoughts, and given the fact I'm not biologically Jewish (and given the fact that there seems to be heaps of hatred for Jews in America), what do you recommend I do about my urge to pursue conversion to the faith?

My friend says the 3 second rule only counts when folks are looking. I say it can stay down there for three days if you're comfortable with that.

Is this a health rule or an embarrassment kind of thing?

If Islam accepts people of other religions to convert into thiers, shouldn't it mean muslims should be allowed to convert into other religions of thier choice?

Religion and evolution are essentially opposites. Some religionists try to create a freakish hybrid between crusty-ole religious beliefs and the scientific fact of evolution, but this is only because they dont really understand evolution.

Often, the angst behind racial differences comes from fear, in the subconsious mind, of the reality of evolution.Jokes about people from different races being like primates really reflects a fear about the reality of evolution. Its almost as if the mere notice of racial difference gives us an intutive sense of evolution.

If everyone accepted the truth of evolution, then you wouldnt have any of this anxiety, after all, isnt it religion which creates the "us against them" mentality in the first place? Sure, you could still have racial superemists but most of the fear that feeds this beast would be dead, and the racial supremists would appear even more extreme and isolated. Best of all, you wouldnt have anyone murdering for Allah.

It is never easy to leave the faith of your family and/or upbringing. Moving in a direction of atheism or agnosticism is particularly challenging. If you grew up Muslim but decided that God probably does not exist, how did you emerge from the Islamic way of thinking?

Turkeys are cute and innocent creatures! MILLIONS AND MILLIONS ARE KILLED EACH YEAR JUST SO WE CAN EAT THEM AT THANKSGIVING! THAT IS VERY VERY SAD FOR THOSE INNOCENT TURKEYS.

The widdle turkeys deserve better than this. They are citizen turkeys of our nation, and we should not be killing citizen turkeys. I think people should spare the turkeys and eat chicken instead.

...that most of the people won't take it seriously? I mean really. A girl posted that she wants to have sex with her brother and that they're parents are ok with it because they're brother and sister, too, and almost every responder was outraged. LOL

Can anyone give me kinda a step-to-step process of how to become a witness. From like finding infomation to getting baptised to witnessing door-to-door. I've looked online and talked to people, but I'd find a simple beakdown of the usual procedure very enlightening.

Okay, I went on a "date" with this guy like a month ago. He is very good looking but I had only known him for two weeks and he asked me to be in a relationship. (I'm only 17-he is 20). Well, of course I said that it was too soon, etc, etc. For some reason I have a gut instinct about him and I do not feel comfortable around him. Several people I know have said he is a bit odd and he stares at me constantly. He is ultra-sensitive and always asks me out, but I come up with an excuse because I am afraid of hurting his feelings. He just gives me the creeps..but I don't know if I'm just paranoid or what. At first I thought it was just because I barely knew him, but I've known him more and STILL do not feel comfortable around him. What scared me was him wanting a relationship of bf/gf when I had only known him 2 wks and hung out ONCE for 2 hrs. He also visits my work and sits there for a while and my co-workers said he will just stare at me. He also left me a gift. Should I be concerned?

Is it improper etiquette to just sit at the table mutely and eat? I dont interact with anyone and i'm not about to start interacting with relatives i've seen but never really interacted with before. Last year i just sat at the table like a petrified mummy and never said anything and then i overheard some of them saying that am i retarded. Some people tryed to interact with me but i just answer with one word. What should i do that would be proper etiquette at a table taking into account the fact that i'm not social and i never interact with anyone
