Ya know I just spent $100 at an Amish Market last week... ummmm whats with the cell phones??
If you live near Lancaster PA like I do, you see a lot of Amish and Menonites. Good bunch of folks I must say though they seem to enjoy Nike shoes and cell phones now ;)

The opinion of the Amish about the outside world is complex. I knew an Amish couple and I once asked them about this same question. Some Amish are exclusive and believe that only those who follow the life they live will go to heaven, most don't according to the couple I knew.

People respect the Amish not because they prefer to live a technology-less life or no make up etc. Thats all the externals.
They are honored for the ways of peace,
They are honored for keeping strong in their own beliefs and yet not infringe onto the free will of others.

Well being that you are using a computer I think we will see you there. I like my washing machine, my televison, my three computers, my car, my oven, my fridge, and all the light switches in our house. Lets not forget the air conditioning. This is weird. Most Americans respect Amish, just as they respect members of any other religion who are honorable citizens and are assets to the community. If the Amish truly believe that non-believers are evil, they are doing a disservice to their purported Christian faith, as well as to themselves and their community. Jesus is supposed to have said: Forgive them, for they know not what they do. Will you do any less?

I do not believe what you believe. Amish or not we are all sinners and in the bible it says if a sinner asks for forgiveness and truly means it and accepts god into our heart then we can go to heaven.
