My son and I have no relatives. The holiday season is always hard for me to come up with things that are warm and memorable for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Being his mom, it's harder and harder to get him to want to spend time with me. I can use only serious responses please.

I have a "friend" who I lent $200 to about 1 month ago. I asked about a week after that when he though he would be able to pay. He got furious with me. I explained that I was only asking for a date not the payment and he explain that I shouldn't be asking.
A month later I asked again, this time specifying that Im looking for a date and he still gets furious. He goes on to explain that I said "to pay it back when he can" and I reminded him that he said "I'll pay you back when I get paid" fair enough.
It will be alittle over a month now and I know he has been paid. I've seen the checks and he also been out to the bars and stuff.
So why is he getting mad? It can't be right. I can see I'm not getting my money back even though it was to help him out. And thats not right.

Me first? Okay. Best thing = I'm intelligent (able to learn from mistakes, see two sides of an argument, etc). Worst thing = I lapse into arrogance from time to time.

Even now that Women have gained many rights that were denied to them just 80 years ago, it still seems that they haven't reached a point to where they can truly be an equal. There are still many places and people not allowing Women to be individuals. How different would things be if since the begining, Women had the freedom to use their full potential, just as Men have?

Why does everything go black when I stand up suddenly? Is it because everything is really black and you only see it when you stand up?

As in a prostitute, not an organ donor! And before you answer, think of EVERYONE you work with, or see day to day, these are the people you will be allowing into have sex with you, not Richard Gere look-a-likes! So come on, everyones got their price, what's yours?

Scenario:
You have been growing up in a Christian family, you read the Bible everyday and have accepted Christ since you were quite young.
Then puberty hits. You hormones start getting active and you find out that HOLY **** you are a homosexual.
Your whole family is homophobic and you realise that God's word (the Bible) condones homosexual acts and those acts are exactly like what you think.

I know most people wouldn't be able (or want to) imagine themselves in this scenario, but if this happened to you, what would you do? Would you remain strong in your beliefs and seek help? Or would you just live life like nothings happening?

Please be very elaborate in your answers and NO STUPID AND MEANINGLESS ANSWERS please. No bashing also. Thx.

It seems that most of the stereotypes of Christians among Muslims is that we all worship Mary, have liturgical worship, follow the Pope, and instigated the Crusades.

Why is this?

Why don't they realize that most Christians are Protestants?
