Why worry about John Barrowman being Gay, he is a good singer and actor and has a lovely personality, too much is made of this, we would be a sorry world if being Gay stopped us from liking a person!

Who knew that the marvellous actor of Doctor Who and more recently Torchwood was gay? Only the world and his wife!
Incidentally you are contradicting yourself - look at what you have written, I like(d) John Barrowman until I found out that he's gay - I still like him though??????
John Barrowman has publicly stated that he has had a male partner for years and that they are looking at civil partnership.
You can be gay and be popular!!

Its a shame that in 2006 we still have young people who have an issue about a mans sexuality. John is not a bad actor and of course not all gay men are camp Rock Hudson wasn't . But the world just would not be the without its Queens.

I didn't know, but I didn't know much about him apart from the fact he was an american guy who presented Live and Kicking when I was younger. Then I saw him interviewd with Johnathan Ross and LOVED him. I think John Barrowman is great and I couldn't care in the slightest that he's gay, except for the fact all the good looking boys are aren't they? lol I'm always amazed that my husband isn't gay considering he's so damn lovely looking anyway blah blah

Stonewall last night presented its first annual awards at a star-studded ceremony hosted by Sir Ian McKellen at London's Royal Academy. Sponsored by Barclays, the awards celebrate the positive contributions made by individuals and organisations - both gay and straight - to the lives of gay people in Britain
John Barrowman, voted Entertainer of the Year, said: "Thank you for this honour. It means a great deal to me to be recognised by my community and peers. Congratulations to the other nominees. We are the few who are proud of who we are and not afraid to talk about it. We are proof that you can be honest and have a great career. I hope others can live by this example."
Just to confirm for those who had a doubt !!

Yes, darlin' I went to school with him here in the States. {Born in Scotland and schooled in the States} He's been "out" for a very long time and yes, I knew when we went to school together. He's a wonderful guy and a really talented actor. I'm mad at him for doing a special on my family's home and not inviting me along...but I'll get over it!
.
"Tourchwood!" His own spin-off series is going well, I can't wait to see it here in the states, being a huge Dr. Who fan as well as a fan of John's.
He and his partner have been together for a number of years and are planning a civil cerimony around Christmas time. They're a great couple, very active in the community and love to travel.

Yes, I knew.
And he is hot! I've taped the whole series of Torchwood so far; I think I'm in love with Captain Jack.
(And I like him MORE because he's gay, not less. But then I am too.)
