It is a strange human need that dates a long way back. I do not understand why people need an all-powerful, all-knowing being.

Well the theory of evolution just doesn't make sense to me. The human eye is a great example: Explain to me why human beings cry when they are hurt? Scientifically it makes sense that we cry when we get something in our eye so we can cleanse it . . . but what is the scientific purpose for tears when ANOTHER part of our body is hurt or when our "feelings" are hurt, or when we are scared, etc? The human eye is amazingly complicated . . and this evolved from one cell? How did we know we even NEEDED eyes if we couldn't see in the first place? I never "got" the idea that God existed . . . it's just something you know. Remember: for those who believe, no explanation is necessary . . . for those that don't believe, no explanation will suffice.

Hello CRAZY KOD.. :)

It was not from my parents, because I was raised Atheist..

It was not from the Bible, because I never read it..

It was not from my friends, because we all made fun of Christians..

It was not from school, because religion was taken out of school..

It was because God was my last choice..obviously not my first..LOL.. :)

I could either kill myself (I hated the way I was living), or I could try God..

I know for a FACT that you will never believe anything I say to you, unless you are searching for God..for I too could not, nor would not, believe these foolish Christians..for they believed in a God that no one could see..As some have put it here..a Pie in the Sky..

But when I cried out to God and truly sought Him, He did not close the doors, He opened them..It was then, my eyes were opened for the first time..a heavy veil had been lifted from my eyes..and all the burdens were gone, from my heart.. :)

The Whole Truth was revealed unto me..There is No greater Love, than laying ones life down for a friend..And Our Heavenly Father call us friend.. :)

Have a Great Thanksgiving Day.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

Well If I remember right there is a book that puts forth that idea, and there are all kinds of ideas of so called gods around the world, if it wasn't for so many different beliefs we wouldn't have so much world conflict.
Personally it does not bother me one way or the other,I have look at creation theory and scientific theory and have drawn my own conclusions, you can do the same!

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

Your brother don

People get these crazy ideas from their parents in most cases. If they ever get a mind of their own in this one and only life, they might be able to realize that all religions were made-up stories written by people in caves and deserts.

When my Dad kept telling me to make sure I say my prayers at night. It was a must! As a child, I think that's when I thought that this whole God thing must be really important.

Dear Crazy Kod, I would like to explain by asking you a few questions.

Do you Consider yourself to be a good person?

Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and the Bible say's "He who hates his brother is a murderer." have you ever hated someone? if you have said yes to these questions, by your own admission your a lying thieving murderous aduturer at heart, and thats How God sees you and you will have to stand beofre HIm on the day of Judgement whether you belive in him or not. So, bearing in mind that Nothing you’ve ever done is hid from His holy eyes. Will you be innocent or guilty on the Day of Judgment? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in Hell. You may say "look, I dont belive in this God, Jesus heaven and Hell stuf, so it dosent concern me." Perhaps you don’t believe in Hell... or maybe you don’t believe in God at all. Consider this carefully... people on drugs sometimes believe they can fly – but if they jump out a window they end up dead. It doesn’t matter how strongly or sincerely they believed they could fly – when they go out the window they suffer the consequences of breaking the law of gravity. if you don’t believe in Hell, or don’t believe in God, you need to realize that your belief cannot change reality. Imagine if you are wrong. The Bible says you will be in Hell for all eternity. That should alarm you.I dont want you to Go to hel, and If you care for your life, you wont want to go there either. would you sell your eyes for a million bucks? of course Not! your eyes are valuable to you, But your eyes are merely the windows to your soul, if yor eys are this valuable, How much more valuable is your soul worth that looks through those eyes? There is good news, incredibly good news. God sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name and If you will Repent (turn from sin) and place your faith and trust in Jesus, God will forgive you of your sins and grant you the gift of everlasting life, and the Bible promises that to anyone who genuinely repents and follows the Command to trust in he savior, God will reveal himself to them and they will know the one true God. Either this is true or its Not. you can take the challenge to repent and trust the savior or reject him, but If you reject Him, I would pay all the money in the world to be in your shoes on the day of Judgement. Please, get your heart right today.
God Bless
