I agree with you. You cannot use logic to figure out All Powerful Super Natural God.
Isaiah 55:9 As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

I've always said that logic is in the mind of the thinker.
My logic wont always be the same as yours. Reminds me of a recent South Park episode where everyone in the future was Atheist... because of course all the worlds troubles are because of religion *rolls eyes* and true peace can only be found in reason and logical thinking. Well, there was a war between 3 groups because each had a different answer to "The Great Question" one group was a group of Otters, they said the humans were all wrong because they cannot think logically. Why would they think its logical to cut down trees for tables when they have perfectly good tummys to eat off of!!
See my point? We all think differently because we are different. Only people who think exactly alike use the same logic. NO ONE thinks "Well this is so illogical... but I'll believe it anyway" everyone believes what seems logical to them.

Logic and reason are the mechanisms that keep you alive. Skepticism ensures that you question fraud and charlatans trying to steal from you or to take something of value from you, like liberty or freedom. If you shut this mechanism off, you will surely perish. Using "faith" as an answer to spiritual questions simply means you must turn off the switch. Organized religions require that you switch your Logic and reason button to the off position. Being spiritual doesn't require the avoidance of logic but just the opposite, it requires that you question the myths that surround you and find your inner truth through logical paths.

The greatest theologians of the Christian Religion were also great thinkers. It is true that logic is not all that is needed, but you can start there. Saying that logic is not necessary is discounting the works of men like Thomas Aquinas, St. Anselm, and many, many, others in both the Eastern and Western Church.

I sort of agree with you. Faith is not logical, this is not an attack on belief, just my opinion, but Religion and our lives has humans have to be put under the gaze of logic to advance as a society. Reason and critical thinking help to keep any ideology from excess.

Many religious practices actually blunt people's reasoning skills.
"There are too many 'religious' people who become religious precisely to avoid having to think," writes the dean of a theological seminary in the United States. "They simply want to accept everything 'on faith,'" he adds. The implication is that most people who profess religious faith give little thought to why they believe what they do, or to whether there is a reasonable basis for their faith. It is no wonder that religion has become a topic that many are reluctant to talk about...

Though most religions are not based on sound reasoning, the Bible's Actual teachings are. Most religions --even those Professing to believe & follow the Bible-- Do Not, and thus give the Wrong Impression of what the Bible is all about!

The Son of Sam killed people because he felt that the neighbor's dog told him to. If he were capable of logic he would have realized that it was wrong. If you do not use logic, how do you know what is "spiritual" and what is hallucination?

I agree. You can think something to death.
Faith is believing in something you can not see or touch but still know that it is real.
((BTW, I quit doing things to cause hallucinations 20 years ago. I know the difference.)) I am a logical person with faith!

Spirit is of the heart and thinkng is intelectual. They are not connected in 99% of the population. Once they are, then being a human/ huwoman takes on a wHOLY different meaning. Logic is fear of feeling The Truth. Thinking the truth is lying to the one that matters the most to you. Yourself. To thine own self be true and Know thy Self.
