I was left alone in the hotel room for about an hour. I thought what would happen if I just ran out and no one could find me. I could live like a vagabond.

Well, not too many years ago I took a bus trip to Montreal and Quebec City in the summer time and the thought definitely did cross my mind to get drunk and lost in a crowd and never return to the bus. But my French is not that good and I realized that the winters up there surely can't be too inviting to someone who would probably end up living in a cardboard box.

One time on a Cruise Ship I got a bit tipsy and wanted to stay on board and run away with the crew .

Why bother with a vacation if the purpose is to disappear.Much better to just disappear from there.

possibly. just run and run and run and never look back. Sometimes even somewhere familiar can feel like the strangest place.
