Why do some people look down at people who are not well dressed? Even though the not so well dressed people are smart, secure with themselves, and respectful.

I wouldn't necessarily make judgments about someone's personality based on what they're wearing. But, I would perhaps not consider dating someone based on his clothes. Hollister and American Eagle are trendy and overpriced. None of that gear would impress me, because you can find those stores in any mall and they're designed to cater to teenagers who want to spend $25 on a tank top. Be a little more creative and bargain shop. When you do, you'll have the extra cash to take that special girl out somewhere nice.

I would sum up the facts that - Greedy, Snobbish, better-than-thou attitudes are what causes people to judge others dress. If I were a multi-millionaire I would still dress the same. If others do not like it - that is "THEIR problem" and I guess they will just have to get over it.

That is something that is juvenile or infantile. Most mature adults do not care what others wear and if they do than they are pretty transparent and do not have values for what is important in life.
They lack confidence about them self and defer their inferiority complex to someone else to make them feel better about them self. It is most assuredly a character flaw and one that the person who acts that way should be ashamed of them self.

Nowadays people worry about class. If you wear name brand clothes people consider you middle class or upper class. If not they consider you lower class. I have the same problem. I try to dress in descent attire and sometimes people call me a lesbianand im not a lesbian. And it's not like I dress like a butch or anything like that.

People are cruel they can be cold hearted. if you are in a situation like that just dont listen... people that do that have to make someone feel bad just so they can feel good about themselves

beacause they are empty,shallow and ignorant. One who judjes me by what I wear, is not worthy be in my circle of friends.
