I remember a church with a broken spire(from bombing). I remember trams. Big statues at the olympic stadium. Sigi`s brockwurst stall. Spandau prison (I did guard duty there). Any of that left?

The reason I ask is because I'm reading in the old testament where God told this person to kill every evil person especially children.

So if God told you today to go kill someone for a good reason would you? Or like me, would you rush straight to the mental facility and demand them to lock you up because you're hearing a crazy man in your head to kill others and you don't want to?

I was just thinking about this, because the holidays are around the corner. There have been several times in the past in which I've wished people "Happy Holidays", and they've gotten offended because I didn't wish them a Merry Christmas instead. First of all, I had no way of knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were Christians. Second, I can't help but think that it's rather offensive to automatically assume that everyone practices the same religion and celebrates the same holiday or else to act as if one religion or holiday is valid. At least the greeting "Happy Holidays" covers all of them and takes everyone into account.

There is an atheist who is for all intents and purposes a good moral person, helps others, is generous and loving.
There is also a serial killer who has led a hard bloody life full of problems and addictions, but who finds before their death a love of Jesus and proclaims to have found God and asks for forgiveness.
Do both of these men make it to heaven, neither one, one and not the other?
According to the Christian belief system, who makes it to heaven or hell and how is it justified?
Serious answers only please.

Women out there, answer me this, do you still face sexist males every where you go? Maybe even sexist females? Do you here comments that generalize females as being stupid and there place is at home, bare foot and pregnant? (I myself am a stay at home wife, I enjoy taking care of my man…so I am not saying being at home taking care of the family is wrong!)

I am just curious if other women face sexist comments and treatment like I have.

I wont go into all the details why I think so, but I have several reasons to believe she has spiritual magic in her head and would like to help her learn how to use it in a positive way. Any Pagans out there want to give me some leads, or book titles on how to help her? She is still very young and could really benefit with training.

The Bibles say the sea will dry up but its actually raising, if drying seas are meant to be a sign of the end and Gods arival then is'nt it logical that raising sea are the opposite to the profecy and therefore God is not about to arrive and all the other profecys can be attributed to Globel Warming and wars as caused by man and not God or Satan? When will the sea dry up? Why are the polar caps melting, the Bible does not even mention polar caps.

In October 2001, Democrat Senator Walter Campbell issued the Scarlet Letter Law...A law that stated that all Florida women that were wanting to put their child up for adoption would have to publically state their names, age , race, sex, and all their sexual partners in the newpaper...the add would run once a week for four weeks straight...this was was only effective for 18 months..However, is trying to become reeenacted again...

This law would alos apply to all rape victims as well...
Do u believe that it would possibly increase the number of abortions performed?

Does it violate the privacy issue??

Whats next from the Govermant are they going to have everyone that is HIV positive publically state their names too with all their sexual partners...

This could be done in a better way without humiliating the woman d u agree?

Every year we are buying christmas presents for each and every individual member of the family. This year, we have decided to do it the 'pick a name out of a hat' way, but the little ones get pressies from all of us aunts and uncles. You reckon that is a good idea?

Here is the deal: I have no problem getting girls. My problem is whenever i get them even if they are hot for some reason i always push them away. I'm 17, i've had one serious relationship.
I am thinking its either because i'm still in love with the girl or maybe i am gay.
I check out guys. When i watch porn im looking at the guys thing more than the girls, but i can still get off to lesbian porn. I would make out with a guy, i would probably blow a guy but i dont know how much further i would go.
I like sports and fighting. Guy stuff. I'm a huge pervert. I'm trying to figure out if i'm gay or bi or what, someone please help me.

Well, "double life" is being a bit melodramatic: I'm not batman!

I'm wholeheartedly sick of people telling me what a great parent I'd be. I hate children and never want them and am married to somebody who makes these sentiments appear to have been uttered by Mary Poppins.

My stock reply is that I would be a terrible father. They do not see this becuse at work, by day, I am intelligent, articulate, calm, mature... the ideal employee, really.

However... when my wife goes away on business, by night I revert to my adolescence. I dress in black , mask, gloves etc. and go and make all kinds of mischief. I set fires, run naked along streets blowing a whistle, write obscenities into playing fields with weed killer, etc.

When I was a kid, I used to encourage my yonger sibblings to follow my lead - which they did. I know I would be the same with a kid if I had one.

Should I tell people to get them off my back about parenthood, thus ruining my good reputation?

Last year we traveled halfway across the country to visit my husband's family. When we told them that we would be there we were told not to bring gifts for the adults since there are were 16 children in the family (18 this year -our kids plus 16 nieces and nephews). This is a lot of stuff to bring with us on the plane as it is so we appreciated not having to bring the extra packages. We got there and the gifts were passed out and we received several gifts (some were breakable). I really appreciate them but I feel that I shouldn't be receiving this if I'm not giving them, too. It is also extra stuff to bring home on the plane as we already need to bring home our children's gifts.
So, how do I tell them 'please, no gifts for the adults' without offending anyone? I'm tempted to tell them that everything broke on the plane home last year.
