If you don't believe, why are you here? The truth, lets face the truth, you are not what you pretend to be! God is real and you know it. What other reason could there possibly be for you taking the time to read these questions and answer them?

According to WikiPedia, it was originally a Christian holiday. So why does every christian I know (well, to clarify, they're ignorant 12 year olds) say that it is made by the devil?

Thanks for your answers, but this wasn't a riddle. I was hoping to hear more from those that are troubled by those that believe in God. "If I tell you that God speaks to me, how can you be certain that it is not true?"

Personally, I'd go with that one that says that all those old prophets lived 700 to 900+ years old, as no carbon-based living creature can possibly do. That was a hoot!

OK I've seen some movies and read some books (like the old title "The Jungle") that portrays work in these places as really dangerous and demanding work. Is this still the case ?(back in the 80's my friends mom had to quit a poultry plant due to carpal tunnel syndrome)

Please don't turn this into a war "OMGZ U DUN BELIEVE IN GAWD U GUN GO TO HELL !!!!!111ELEVENTYONE."

No. I want straight-foward, honest answers in what you believe in.

If you do believe in God, why? And don't tell me because of your religion. Tell me what you've read, why you're that religion, why you honestly believe in God.
Same with if you don't.

The devils riddle: If truth is truth, and a lie is a lie, when is truth a lie ?

The solution, is a paradox, and may be the 'original sin' from the garden of eden.

The solution is what I call 'The Jesus Christ Code'.

It is a phenomena that some would rather you not know !

I met a 34 yar old at our lunch gathering. She seems to be a wonderful person and we got on well enough. Should I just stay friendly or try to go a stage further, ie ask her out, or would I seem a silly old woman.

You think it'll be a good year?

Why is it ok for lesbians to make out but not gay men? It's hypocritical! you say say you're for one but not the other! What is hell IS UP WITH THESE damn double standards? A example would be why is it ok for whites to tan but not blacks to whiten? or like men having more women than women having more men? Who made these rules that said it's not ok for gay men to make up? You can't play favorites! You either like it all or like none of it.

This is just my viewpoint and I would appreciate any insights. I think our culture is losing its moral basis and becoming more corrupted.
There are so many bad things happening in our culture such as gun violence, race/ethnicity discrimination, high divorce rates, sexually explicit media, drug, alchohol & tobacco problems, etc...
I think something is not right when you live in a culture in which you get ridiculed for saving virginity. These days, losing a virginity is not even a big deal anymore. It has become almost a norm, even among some christians.
I also am in awe when I see so many people getting divorced. I can understand some marriages having to end up in divorce but 50% divorce rate makes me question about our current culture.
Our culture has been marred with sex, drugs, gun violence problems among others. I really want to see our society embrace more morality and remove many of those evil sides.
Do you have any insights regarding this critical issue we face today?

There are 27 books in the Bible with at a guess at least 100,000 verses. Of these only about 30 mention anything about homosexuality, which is 0.03% (that's substantially less than 1%). The majority are in the Old Testament, almost all are more about promiscuity, prostitution, or rape, not one is about two same sex people in a committed relationship, and *Jesus* said absolutely nothing about it.

* So, why are Christians so hung up on homosexuality?
* Why do they make such a big deal about it?
* Why do they refuses to extend the same legal job and housing protections that are provided under Title 19 regarding a person's religion?
