If you don't believe, why are you here? The truth, lets face the truth, you are not what you pretend to be! God is real and you know it. What other reason could there possibly be for you taking the time to read these questions and answer them?

This is the Religion/Spirituality section not the Christian section. Atheists are just as capable of reading and studying religious texts as the next person and probably more likely to go out and seek questions about faiths in order to understand why/how people worship or don't worship.

"God is real and you know it"
That's just condescending. It's like saying 'Theres no absolute proof of a God and you know it'

"What other reason could there possibly be for you taking the time to read these questions and answer them?"
Maybe they enjoy other, differing perspectives and don't just need people to validate their opinions. Imagine that!!

I don't know what 'nbr' is ....

Anyway. How can you have the nerve to assume that a category is restricted to those who agree with it?
I am an atheiest of many years standing and I find religion to be a fascinating subject, as it is an intrinsic element of human nature. Thus, although I know the real truth about the existence of an imaginary deity, I am still interested in discussing it - and why should I be prevented from expressing my views here? Just eacuse they don't happen to coincide with your views? Do you suggest that this category should only be accessible to jesus-freaks who want to reinforce their own beliefs with each other? I don't think so.
The questions are asked ... I ignore a lot of them because they are juvenile. The questions are asked ... should there only be one point of view responding? You already know the answer to that - I would hope.

Aha! nbr = NUMBER. Txtspk - another character defect for the lazy. You are not on a cellphone here, the number of characters are not charged to you. Get the idea?

The onus for proving the existence of an imagined supernatural entity is not with the non-believers but with those who suggest that it is true. It is not sufficient to ay that god is real over and over and over. Only the dimmest of brains would accept it just because it is repeated often enough. Get off your butt and provide the proof that any sensible adult person would require ... and you can't. End. Case dismissed.

The fact is I am not in the Religion & Spirituality section. I read questions on the Home page. It so happens that on occassion one of the Religion & Spirituality questions sneaks onto the home page. And some questions will just catch my eye. The word "Atheist" will normally do that. So that's why I am here, simply to show that like most Christians you too are wrong.

And please don't flatter yourself. Your God has nothing to do with anything.

I was born Methodist
I was raised Presbyterian
I was ordained Universal
I am now an Atheist.

And may the 10,000 fairies dancing on the head of pin bless you.

I just think that there are better things to devote one's life too, even if there is a god we'll have no idea until we're dead. We're all just spending a sort time together in this mystery called life so just take that devotion and turn into something beautiful like Jazz for example.

Besides i've found that most religious argument go something like this ""You are a fool for denying the existence of God! You have rejected true faith and have relied on your feeble powers of human reason and thus arrogantly denied the existence of Her Divine Transcendence, and so are you condemned." Seems a bit childish too, pretty much "Do this or i'll hurt you"

I can find the ideas of God and Christianity fascinating without believing them. To answer a question about Greek mythology, would you need to be a follower of the traditional Olympian religion?

I'm a bit confused by this "God is real and you know it" business, though. Take the time to understand the viewpoints of others; don't just impose a verdict of IN DENIAL. We're not bad people. Please don't tell us we're a bunch of fakes and have no place here-- it makes you look very narrow minded.

I believe some people are here to explore the idea because they are uncertain and posing their questions of doubt is a way to get the answers they are looking for. Others believe that God has instilled in each and every one of us the yearning to seek Him out and to know Him. Some may be here as a result of this yearning.
Others are just downright nasty.

I'm amazed that there are people who think God is the only type of religion or spirituality

and even though somebody already said this I will reiterate, search for answers or reasoning isn't to just read about what you think. Proof by contradiction works better in math more often than solving for x.

Have you ever bothered to read their stuff and think of it?
They are sacrificing their lives, a little bit at a time to save you Frank.
You would not want to miss out at your chance to be saved would you Frank?
All they ask is that you look at the evidence with an open and rational mind, Frank
To consider that you might not be getting the full story, Frank.
Some of them are former Christians and are so glad to be free and in control of their own minds that they are willing to try to reach You, Frank.
To try to save You, Frank.
Frank, try not to waste the opportunity they are offering,Frank.
It might be the last chance you ever have to regain reality, Frank.
