Why do we have daylight light saving time in this day and age?

To keep children safe on their way to school. This is why it was re-enacted the last time we dumped it. With out it, children walk to school in the dark. And many children were hit by cars.

It is profitable for the businesses that benefit from people staying active during daylight hours.

tradition. we've all gotten used to it. I don't think Arizona does it though.
