My vote goes to the answer from hot mama.
God speakes to me too. Here is one of the things that She said.
I am the ocean, you are the raindrops. We are the same. You raindrops, because of your similar size and location, see yourselves as separate, as units, as individuals. This perception of your selves has been your only reality since you were born in the clouds. You have no other perspective of your selves. As you fall through your short lives here, you see the ocean far below. On a certain level you understand that it and you are one and the same. You envy its magnificence. The thought comes,” I am water too, am I not also part of this magnificence?” Then you realize that you are but an insignificant raindrop. You can only look at that distant ocean in awe. The ocean with its timeless knowledge sees you quite differently. It sees you for what you really are. Its most precious children, bravely returning home to share the experience that ocean as a whole could never have experienced. The ocean has nothing but love for you. Because it understands that it is you, and that you are it. It knows only truth. Until the moment you reunite you can only speculate. The ocean's love for you is unconditional. It holds no foolish thought of punishing you for not falling quite right. It only waits with great patience for your homecoming.
The tiny collisions you had with the other drops on the way down, at the time seemed so significant. Often you feared that if you mingled with them too long you might get to close and in the process even lose your identity. All this because you understood your true identity not! You are ocean, you always were ocean, you always will be ocean. How you currently perceive yourself raindrop, snow flake, puddle, stream, River, or lake matters not. This is all illusion, only perception. You are ocean, you are spirit. You and I are one; we are the All That Is!
love and blessings Don

I can't be certain, but given that I don't believe in god I'm a little biased. However when you say that god literally speaks to you, you are making a positive claim about something supernatural. It is up to you to prove it to me. And since the claim is so extraordinary, the proof would have to be extraordinary as well.

I believe you.
God reveals Himself mysteriously to people who are humble of heart, righteous, clean of conscience and most especially to persons least expected because of their station in life.
Beware though, because Satan, pretends a lot to be God, by first pretending to be an Angel of God, because he is capable of doing this, just like the way he appeared time and again to Muhammad and Joseph Smith. Beware of entities or wolves who clothe themselves in sheep's clothing." May I suggest you pray fervently to the Holy Spirit for guidance and inner strenght. With the help of the Holy Spirit you can never be wrong that God is really talking to you.

how does one prove a negative. I would consider anybody hearing voices of gods or devils a serious candidate for a padded cell. To many random murderers and serial killers hear voices. It is almost always a symptom of serious mental problems.

I am confused by the idea that my belief in God should bother those who do not believe. It is your agency to believe or not. Is it not mine to do the same? Does my belief cause harm to you? Does it take away rights or privileges from you? Does my keeping of the commandments endanger any aspect of your life? I don't spend time demanding you believe, why do you spend time demanding I stop believing? What threat are my beliefs to you?

Orbiting around this planet is an Invisible Pink Unicorn, who observes everything that you and I do, hears everything that we say and listens to every thought that we have.
Effectively, I can make any kind of BS statement and you can decide whether it is true or not based upon your level of education, life-experience, common-sense or ability to see reality.
So, say anything you like. I don't care.

You should notice that your question works the other way round as well, "how can you be certain that it is true?" is equally a valid question if you think your question is valid. Look at both sides of the question, since the are of the same validity.
