I was sitting in my verandah. It was a bright sunny day. absolutely clear sky. Suddenly a thought regarding lightining and thunder comes to my mind. I ignore it and my thought process goes to some other things. After 10 minutes there is a severe lighting stroke and discharge sky still being clear and sun shining. All of us were perplexed as there was no possibility of a thunderous discharge under those conditions. I was copletely at loss of words because i received the randomm thought which eventually materialised. What can this be called. How can this be explained. Is this intution.

I repeat, if abusive language bothers you, plz don't read any further.

This is from Matrix reloaded, when Neo, morpheus and Trinity go to meet the Merovingean.

Merovingian: I have sampled every language, French is my favourite - fantastic language, especially to curse with.

Nom de Dieu de putain de bordel de merde de saloperie de connard d'enculé de ta mère!

You see, it's like wiping your *** with silk, I love it.

Note in babbelfish translater, it is translated as:

Name of God of whore of bloody hell of filth of jerk of asshole of your mother

But I don't think this makes much sense.

If you look at the bible, it says all types of weird things. When something doesn't seem right, the Christians jump in and say it was a metaphor or that it meant some other thing within that religion, blah blah blah. If this is the case, why didn't god just make the bible clear enough with footnotes saying "In literal sense this means this" or "this is the definition of day that in comparison to human time." There really seems to be no point in making some book that is all confusing that ends up in splitting your church into hundreds of different denominations that interpret every single piece differently. So why didn't/doesn't god a) make the bible coherent or b) update the bible so we stop being confused about what he means. If lawyers can easily write technically, god should be able to do that and better right?

You know how people are always saying "organized religion only causes bloodshed and wars" rah rah rah and stuff like that? Well, did anyone notice last century that athiesm or organized "nonreligion" killed around 100 million people? communism was a logical result of athiesm and evolution, by the way. How can people be this hypocritical about things?

I'm know as being the person that always turns up to my friends halloween partys in the best costume.

In the invites this year he has stated there is a prize for anyone who can beat my costume as I always excel myself.

I'm really stuck this year for a good costume. Last year I went as "Papa Lazerou" from the League of Gentlemen (UK BBC TV show) complete with Minstral style face paints - top hat, wig, walking cain and knee length jacket with pegs inside - it went down really well and everyone said I had by far the best costume.

I don't want to go as a ghost or a vampire or a mummy or zombie - I want a costume that won't cost too much that people will say "wow thats a top costume"

I'm a bit strapped for cash this year - I have the black and white face paints from last year and still have the wig and top hat.

Any ideas peeps? - sensible answers only pweese...

And your going to go to Hell after a life of worshiping God what is the point of worship. Wouldnt it be better, easier and more joyous to believe that your years of worship meant something and that you were going to heaven instead? I believe that God takes into account what is in my heart and the kind of person i am inside that makes the difference. Please explain, I must be missing something.

Is sin that bad? I know there are some sins that hurt others. I will agree that those are infact bad. The ones I'm talking about are the ones that don't harm others, Victimless sins I guess. Why is it so bad to do things that you enjoy if it isn't harming anyone else?
There are tons of laws in this country (USA) that protect us from ourselfs, isn't that enough without the bible ruling out everything else? Atleast with the law I can have a pivate thought about doing something wrong and not go to jail. With theBible and God, If I think it, it's as bad as doing it. Does this make sense to anyone else?

In cases like this you HAVE to be decontaminated. Which means you will have to remove all of your clothes as quickly as possible & enter a shower & be scrubed down. There will be no regard for gender or privacy. Would you do that or would you refuse ?

Just curious as to how you decided there wasnt a God, Did your parents thinks this way? did something happen or not happen in your life to lead you to this way of thinking? I am new to the board so i'm sure this question has been asked before, but I was just curious. Be blessed.

If so, what? (Assuming they don't read YA, of course!)

I got this in my e-mail, and am strongly considering gettting my wife, a lover of both Hello Kitty and black cashmere, this sweater. (Wish I could afford the diamond pendant--that girl loves bling, too!)

Just wondering...
