I have come to know that the creatures named in the bible as Behemoth and Leviathan are linked with Satan. I have even heard that the Behemoth was seen as a direct incarnation of Satan in Hebrew lore. Yet, I cannot find anything that affirms this in the bible. How was it determined that these creatures would be synonymous with Satan? Also, did the mythical bird Ziz and the Tanniyn end up with the same associations? I have also heard that God instructed his followers to slay the female Leviathan and take it as food for the masses. Did this leave the male one hungry for vengeance in some way? Did the Behemoth take on the same desire after god saw it grow out of control? All perspectives welcome as usual.

If people go to Heaven or Hell for all eternity, what happens when a person who dies leaves behind the love of his/her life, who later dies and goes to Hell.

Wouldn't that make the person in Heaven's life rather Hellish?

I heard someone make this observation recently, and I have seen some similarities as a Methodist myself--we observe confirmation, the pastors wear robes and vestments, for example. On the other hand, there are significant differences--for example, the doctrine of salvation by faith alone and not works is definitely not a tenet of Catholic doctrine. So, where's the historical connection, if there is one?

Hi, I tried to translate a sentence into Swedish but it turned out to be difficult since I wasn't sure about the English version in the first place.
What is the right form when I'm trying to combine the sentence "He had spoken" with "must".

Like
"He speaks" + "must" = "He must speak"
"He spoke" + "must" = "He had to speak"
"He has spoken" + "must" = "He must have spoken".
But when the tense is "HAD spoken, HAD taken, HAD been", how do I form the phrase?

Why? Homosexuality is an action just like stealing or cheating on your wife, so why is it considered bigotry to think an action itself is ultimately wrong? Why do people try to force this belief on me that sodomy is acceptable? I just think it's fundementally wrong like shooting a random guy. It's all wrong. Why hate because of a persons values?

How do you generally feel about your friend cheating on his wife? Would finding out that he was having an affair change your opinion of him? Why should homosexuality be any different?

Last year we went to Bemidji, Minnesota trick or treating. It was HORRIBLE. It's gotta be one of the worst places in the country to go.

Throw out the weather. Bemidji is cold and you do have to wear mits, hats and a winter jacket over your costume. I don't mind that so much.

BUT, most of the houses there aren't decorated. Most of the houses are NOT handing out candy and in fact, the people are hiding in their rooms with their lights off. We actually walked 3 blocks in one area and ONLY ONE house was giving out candy!

You could walk 10 miles in Bemidji and not even get half a bag of candy. It's ridiculous.

One house had a family come to the door when kids came up and tell them they didn't celebrate Halloween. Come on! They go to the house 100 times that night? They can't do something else? Set a bowl of candy by the door!

1 guy was so drunk in his house he just flipped people off.

Another house used Halloween to spread their religious propaganda! GEEZ!

I am organising a private firework party for next saturday, should I invite those kids and families who are less fortunate than myself ie not going to a display or bonfire, bearing in mind the laws for under18 possession/carrying of fireworks in public places and the potential for lax sensibility ie parents letting their offspring light and/or misuse fireworks? Some parents let their kids let off and misuse fireworks at private parties and if you try to stop them because things get out of hand/dangerous these lax parents step in and do-good for their kids saying "it's alright leave them alone they're only having fun."?
