We are all friends going out for a good time but being that there are two girls and two boys, I don't want other guys to get the impression that we are double dating and that we have boyfriends. How should the seating arrangement be?

We met & married in church. Within a month of two into the marriage, Four or five times a week, he wanted anal sex, he said, or he would have to go somewhere else to get it. He would say he was in one of his moods! I hated it, but complied. I was raised, wives be subject to your husbands. He gave me claumidia later. It's been over 28 yrs since the divorce. I've been with many other men who werent' like this. I still feel affected by this. But now I just want to be alone. ? is do you think he was bi-sexual, or was this a way to control me? I wonder was he a sociopath?

Verily, We Ourselves have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian, (Al-Hijr, 15:10)

This verse of the Holy Quran promises that its text has been safe-guarded in its original form by a divine plan for all times to come.
Verse 8 of this Sura, contains the demand, mockingly made by disbelievers that if the Quran were really as grand a book as it was claimed to be, it ought to have descended under the guardianship of angels. This ridicule of disbelievers has been answered in the present verse, which emphatically says that the Quran is indeed a sublime book and that God Himself has undertaken to act as its Guardian and that He will always protect it against every kind of corruption and interference. And in order that this promise about the protection of the Quran may gain still more force, particles expressive of special emphasis, such as 'Anna' (verily We) and 'Nahnou' (Ourselves) and again 'Anna' followed by 'Lam' (most surely) have been used in this verse.

seeing as he sold advanced weaponry to the Islamic nutcases in Tehran who had just held American diplomats hostage for well over a year?

It surely is at least as plausible as trying to blame Bill Clinton for N. Korea's nuke test!

I just moved to another state that is big on religion. Ive always beleived in god and everything that he stands for (although may not always live by them) but recently ive started going to church that I like alot and i have excepted jesus into my heart but when it comes to other ppls sexual choices I dont think it matters if they want to get married or not as long as they dont press there choices on me. but the ppl at my church think other wise. should i continue going to this church and keep my feelings to my self or share w/ the memebers of my church my true feelings on this subject.

Samson is one of the most legendary figures in the Bible, famous for his great strength which left him when he got a much needed haircut. (He is also portrayed in the Bible as arrogant, bad-tempered, and easily led by women of questionable character, but these things rarely receive attention.) His strength is never portrayed as being natural; instead, it usually comes upon him when the "spirit of God" came into him at just the right time.

I've read the account in Judges--Samson was a Nazarite, sworn to God by his parents from the moment of his birth, which explains the fact that "a razor never touched his head." Samson's naive confession to Delilah is the first indication that this is where his strength lay, but of course the point is that it actually lay with God. My question, though, is was Samson's strength a physical part of him, or did it appear only when he needed it?

Who would you save from death: your Husband/Wife or your child?

My Mom has passed. She was my best friend confidant and of course loved me unconditionally. Now she is gone, she went quickly and I feel I needed one more last time to say goodbye. So much information out there on life after death. Should I see a medium, seek church help, try to communicate myself I dont know what to do or plainly accept it and try to move on. If you have ever lost someone you love you know the empty helpless feeling you have, knowing you can never bring that person so special in your life back. Any suggestions? how did you cope? Did you find a legitimate way to contact your departed loved one? Can someone help?

If 2 people came into a hospital with the same metal rod between both their abdomens connecting them, one of them is female in her 50's with a family and the other is male in his 20's single, and the doctor after analyzing the situation realizes they both have a chance to live but only one of them can live because when they take the first person off the rod he or she will bleed to death because they will not have enough time to get to both so the second person will live. Which person do you think should live?

She has been here almost 2 months, and been trained on how to do her job and specific reports. She has been calling me into her office to help her with the reports that I have never seen or had training on. When she first came I couldn't stand the thought of training my own supervisor, but that's what I did. It seems like she is leaving early every other day, and coming in late the others.

About 3 weeks ago I heard that she was 4.5 months pregnant. Then earlier this week she came in here to tell us she had gone to the doctor that Monday and found out she was pregnant. She lied to us right there.

Yesterday she overheard me talking with another guy in the bathroom about how I was unhappy with some things here. A few minutes later she calls me into her office and asked if I wanted to give her my 2 week notice right there.

Later tha day her supervisor came in to meet with us. He told me the negativity had to stop, and if it didn't I would be let go.

What can I do?

Christ said, "He who has not sinned shall cast the first stone." However, I was once reading a book called "Everyday Ethics" and the author, who is a philosophy professor, said that not only are we constantly being judged, but we also should judge, so that others can judge us, too. Do you think that it's necessary to judge others to help create a just, moral society?

By the way, I don't remember the author's name.

Atheism - What made you into it?

Some Christian often claim that de-conversion to atheism is triggered by some of listed below;
1)Bad childhood experience like being raped molested or abused.
2)Tragic experience during formative years like loss of parents, properties and chances.
3)Divorce, business losses and other calamity-induced tragedy.
4)Other misfortune which can be life-shattering.

Are you classified as one of the above? If not, what made you an atheist?

I was watching a show on PBS about the middle east and the Muslims. In it they showed where a large quantity of animal sacrifices were being made to their god, part of some holy days.

Later I watched the famous videos of some of the beheadings being done to western hostages. And it was the exact same ritual, same knife, same chanting, the hostages even screamed like the animals as their throats were being hacked.

Do you think these Muslims think they are giving human sacrifice? Is this spoken about by other Muslims? And if so, why do you think even the most right wing american media won't say it?

Just talking to someone else, and told him how once in school a girl told me; "Pokemon is satanic, because if you turn the P into a D and put it behind the K it says OK Demon!"
(Which technically makes Christmas satanic, cause Santa Clause is an anagram for SATAN Clause)
I grew up in a very conservative Protestant Christian community, and people believed all kinds of weird things like this, like that wearing black lipstick or nail varnish meant you're a devil worshipper.
Who else has experianced people like this and what is the weirdest thing you have heard them believe?
