Maybe you ought to keep your feelings to yourself and be quiet, keep an open mind, and just listen for awhile.

As it roughly says in the Bible, do not yoke yourself to others who are foolish.
I know that many people use it to justify washing their hands of atheists, pagans, and other non-Christians. I think it can also be used for wisdom. Would such hateful bigotry be healthy for you? You already know they're wrong. You could show them the error of their ways, but it'd have to be small steps. You can't just say to a crowd, "Hey, God loves us all, no matter what sexual preference." Trust me, many people have tried and have been shouted down. It can only lead to hurt feelings.
Most likely, you'll find someone who feels the same way you do in that crowd. Freethinkers are often forced to be silent when immersed in a crowd of bigots. For that reason, some good *might* come from attending the church. Is it worth putting up with everyone else? Probably not.
Church should not be about misery. If you are uncomfortable singing about love next to people who clearly don't understand what love is, then you shouldn't put yourself through that hassle. Perhaps you can make a few friends in the church and then go study on your own.
I often tell people that I don't like letting a church get in the way of my relationship with God.

a Church should be a place where people worship God
there are no perfect church if you are to find a perfect church it would have no people in it for we are not perfect people pray on what it is that is bothering you and yes you can take some a side and talk to them about how you feel you see Satan is trying hard to put division in the house of God for a house divided can not stand ask the Holy Spirit to give you Guidance Jesus will never leave you or forsake you.

I don't think there's ever a problem with sharing your feelings. Everybody at some point or another questions one or two principles of their faith. Just be sure to start with people you know you can trust to have a enriching conversation with - a good friend? The leader of your congregation? And most importantly - God Himself in prayer.
Perhaps they can help you see better reasoning for this position, or see some simple middle ground, or help you in deciding whether or not this one principle is worth altering your religion over.
In short - don't bottle it up, just seek the right sources.
best wishes

You say you're big on everything god stands for. Well, what do you believe he stands for? If the church you're going to doesn't agree, it hardly makes sense to keep going there unless you think "everything god stands for" is subject to the whims of people.
It is of course, but most people don't like to admit that "everything god stands for" is just a projection of their own values.

You need to think thru what accepting Jesus into your heart really means. It means that you've become a disciple of Jesus, i.e., that you follow Him and His teachings. What does Jesus say? Read the Gospels and see what Jesus says about such relationships. Have you really placed yourself under the Lordship of Jesus or are you just pretending?

question them! honestly. it may not be an attractive option but if you raise your thoughts, maybe just one or two people (usually the ones you least expect) will agree or at least think about your views. I constantly ask questions in my christian doctrine class. My lecturer doesn't like me much, nor do a few other folk but the majority apprieciate the different view points. Maybe its different in america, but i suspect human nature doesnt change wherever you go.

I don't agree with a lot that is said in my church, but its a small community, do not much choice. I say what I think though, which is probably why they don't ask my opinion.

listen up friend tell them exactly how you feel and leave it alone don' t let anyone change your beliefs , remind them that the Bible says only those without sin can cast stones, plus that God gave man free will, FREE being the operative word. Holler back let me know how it goes when you put those biddies in their place.

You should just stick with what you believe and feel in your heart and be true to yourself. No matter where you go there is always going to be people that disagree with what other people choose as a livestyle.
