I want to take a degree in the university, but while looking at its prospectus i saw these two words and they confused me.

Undergraduate courses count towards a bachelor's degree. Post graduate courses can count towards both a bachelor's and/or graduate degree. Post-graduate courses are more difficult as they are on a level of those who have already completed their undergraduate degree.

an Undergraduate is a severe college grad or a school brisker reading a level programme in a school to earn a Bachelors degree, A Postgraduate are people who had totally graduated their BS or BA, they seem to be a Bachelors' degree holder who might choose for to earn their Masters degree or Doctorate.

If you already have a degree like a BA or a B Com, then you do a postgraduate course. If you still don't have a degree then you are an undergraduate.

Many postgrad courses are seminar courses or very much self directed, self motivated areas of study, where you have to show the self-discipline to define and do the study largely on your own.

Postgraduate = after you graduate, undergraduate=before you graduate...............
