Just curious as to how you decided there wasnt a God, Did your parents thinks this way? did something happen or not happen in your life to lead you to this way of thinking? I am new to the board so i'm sure this question has been asked before, but I was just curious. Be blessed.

what proof is there that there is a god?
What has "god" ever done for you?
No offence but people are dying every day from getting shot, "god" must not have very much time for his "creation"

The curious brings people to read and listen and think. Logic is the way to proof reality and logic cannot go into more nature due to some grey zone. To look into more books specially the Six sences of reality, you will find more interesting and find out what is the trueth. This is not only telling you to believe without practise and proven.

First off, my father is an atheist as I am . He let my brother and I have the chance to choose our own path in religion. I have had some things happen to me to choice my lack of belief. That is why I think the way I do. Plus all the controversy in the religion now make me wonder. Some religions have a very nasty history.

My parents were Christians. I never really bought it. I figured out that I was a non-believer about the same time I figured out that Santa wasn't real.
I had a little problem justifying that I thought my parents and really everyone I knew were delusional. I finally got old enough to read Carl Sagan and a few other scientists and was glad I finally found someone else who could see what I thought was so obvious.

NOT the true believers. True believers including all the 1.6 Billions Muslim present on the phase of the planet and all the creatures of the ONLY ONE GOD. Mary (peace be upon her PBUH) is the mother of prophet Jesus (peace be upon him).
This is the how GOD describes HIMSELF in HOLY QURAN chapter 112.
[112:0] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
[112:1] Proclaim, "He is the One and only GOD.
[112:2] "The Absolute GOD.
[112:3] "Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten.
[112:4] "None equals Him."
NO ONE can challenge this. Except ISLAM, all other religions on the phase of this planet including their so called human gods cannot fit in this category.

What puts a lot of people off is that they can see the bible for what it is (made up by man ). God hasn't got to be about Jesus but people just link them together and get a bit confused

For me it's a purely intellectual rejection based on a lack of evidence. I would like to believe in a God-the idea is very comforting-but I'm afraid I would be dishonest given the lack of evidence to support it.

Read the bible read all the bs in old testement couldnt believe that god was so evil and people praise him as a "good guy"
Also with all the bloodsheds in the world i doubt there is a god looking and protecting us

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd

In the same way I decided there is no Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Fairies at the bottom of the garden, unicorns, Yetis, fortune tellers, ET's on earth etc etc etc.
You look at the evidence!
