I was sitting in my verandah. It was a bright sunny day. absolutely clear sky. Suddenly a thought regarding lightining and thunder comes to my mind. I ignore it and my thought process goes to some other things. After 10 minutes there is a severe lighting stroke and discharge sky still being clear and sun shining.All of us were perplexed as there was no possibility of a thunderous discharge under those conditions. I was copletely at loss of words because i received the randomm thought which eventually materialised. What can this be called. How can this be explained. Is this intution.

Lightning and thunder are electricty phenomenon,....positive/potential charges from the sky....attracted to negative charges from the earth,can be through trees,humand,..etc as a medium.(Discovery Channel).This has been proven by a high speed camera.
What happen to u can be one of these:
1.ur body has a negative charge...attracting lightting/thunder(some people do,have this characteristic,..which is danger to them or their surrounding),..and ur brain WARNED u,...since our nerves and brain cells,..also electrically sensitive.
2.There will be a lightning and thunder,..and ur brain catch this SIGNAL,...since our brain is electrically sensitive.
3.no1, and no2,...are natural phenomenon,....it can be a supranatural possibility,..that u have TO BE CAREFUL,...IN UR LIFE,..somebody that care about u ,..up there,...is giving u warning.This situation happened if u r now,..in the middle of making an important decision in ur life.
Or u have to take another path of life,...whis is safer and better for u.

The brain is good at seeing patterns. Maybe some vague clues hit your brain that triggered you to think about lightning, even though it wasn't clear enough for your mind to express the reasons explicitly.
The other possibility is due to faulty memory. People tend to think their memories are fairly fixed. However, as Elizabeth Loftus demonstrated, they are fairly volitile. The brain tends to remember things as you wish to remember them. So, you may have just been sitting there with your mind wandering when you were surprised by the lightning. Afterwards, you might have thought you had thought that earlier when you really didn't. You may have been thinking about the weather, then adapted the lightning into that though after the fact.

Your mind registered the change in ozone which occurs when a strorm is about to hit. Its not in the least unusual, a lot of people can feel a storm before it actually shows up.

This makes perfect sense...an electrical storm is in itself energy & I believe we can sense energy whether it's good or bad.
