Okay I have read Most of the Bible, much of it several times over...
I consider myself a CHRISTIAN...
But/However...
The concept of having been here before, even many times rarily if ever leaves my mind.
And I do not mean being reborn as a butterfly...Unless that is what I choose to experience...
I feel I am here not just as a Student...but a Teacher as well, to learn important Spiritual lessons.
With that said, I do believe the soul has a memory, and I feel pretty sure we can come back as many times as we want, or need.
To help our own Spirit or Soul... as well as others, to achieve SPIRITUAL GROWTH...
I mean what is life anyway but a series of LESSONS?
I believe when I have Finished my TASK I will be called HOME...To PARADISE, and I mean one which is INDESCRIBABLE in beauty...not just something like 10 virgins... :) (well uh you know ...SORRY)
Oh yeah, my PARADISE is filled with millions of beautiful precious and semi-precious gemstones,or just lots of cool rocks!!!

Agree or Disagree. Please State why.

Many Native Americans are frequently mistaken for Asian origin. Asian and Native American's both share characteristics, such as, fine straight black hair or semi-slanted dark eyes. Native American and Eurasian features are amazingly similar, In fact Chinese-French actress Sandrine Holt, played a Native American princess in Pocohontas The Legend (1995). Another Central Asian public icon is Siberian model Irina Pantaeva, whom is often mistake for Chinese descent. However, Irina, is a native Inuit of Russia's Siberian territory. Back in history, (over 10,000 years ago), an ice bridge, where Alaska now is, connected Asia and North America. People from Asia walked over and spread out across the area known as the Americas, including Canada, the United States, and Central and South America.

Ok I heard you all, but I too have been molested and mistreated by men. Being a gay male it was quite a double wammy so to speak. Not only as a teenager did I deal with my molestation but also back then I was told I wasnt gay it was the molestation that did this to me. Wanting so badly to be straight I believed them and put myself through much more pain then was necessary.
However I did not nor do I generalize my feelings toward one complete gender do to the phediphiles that molested me.
I think more then not I identify as a straight female and how she would have felt being molested by a man since my naturaul identity is gay and that is how I was made.
So it is not with hate or anger I ask these questions it is with love and concern for all. So why is that torch of hate carried by so many lesbians, I say this do to all of your answers, many filled with hate and doubt at me for raising such a question.
Why so much hate?

I just received the following in an answer: "god cannot be seen and there is no connection to him except mentally". Seems to me a system of ethics fits that description just as well.

Can you provide verifiable proof that you believe in your system of ethics (whatever it might be)?

Or, to be an atheist, must you not have any belief in something intangible such as ethics?

Do you think the DREAM world is our ETERNAL Spiritual HOME...
And we actually leave there to come into this PHYSICAL realm to teach/ learn and get to the NEXT level of realizing WE ARE ALREADY PERFECT SPIRITUAL BEINGS...
So in a sense, this is SCHOOL, and more likely the DREAM world?
This is an ABORIGINAL CONCEPT...but I like the idea of it.
SO what do you think?

EID MUBARAK to all.

Any other non-muslims like me lucky enough to have been invited to celebreate Eid with some Muslim friends? (I will only pop in after work) Such a wonderfull celebration, all ready for the new coming year.

This is truly a blessed time of the year. On Saturday we had Diwali, and now I am waiting for Xmas. It is so wonderfull to be able to share with all those I feel close to.

I was watching "Contact" recently, and Elly is asked if she loved her father. She says "Yes". Then she is asked to "prove it", and she has no reply.

It is easy to demand "proof" of the existence of the divine before believing it exists. But if we demand "proof" that you think, or love, or do anything with motivation, you are as lacking of verifiable "proof".

If you accept that we all have thoughts, without being able to provide verifiable proof, why do you dismiss our experience of the divine for lack of verifiable proof?
