nobody can cut their head off because they r not living in the jungle..they do this because more they read it more they understand new meaning on it, more their feath become stronger, more they get more "religious profits"..reading Koran is a kind of prayers that make muslim closer to God, so they do it for the same reasons that all people pray, i mean to get blessed ect, i think all religious practices should be respected as they don't hurt or misrespect anybody else, not to be discussed with an ironic way

so you wasted all your life to come up with this worthless conclusion? .... the answer is NO
because the Quran is so beautiful, that you can't get enough from it. it's truly a miracle book in a way that you don't understand unless you believe. it has secret codes that affect different parts of your life or your soul. everytime you read the Quran you learn from it. such as a battery need a recharger, will the Quran is the recharger of the soul/spirit.

first muslims r really delinquent with quran and they dnt read it at all now days second if we read at least 1 page and do wat it says we will be the leaders of the world and we will save christians from there darkness.
