No, as Muslims we do not celebrate Christmas. You may already be aware that many Christians also do not agree that this 25th December was the date Jesus (pbuh) was born. In fact Christmas, with many of it's customs are of pagan origin:

Taken from Wikipaedia:

The Bible gives no certain answer to the date of Jesus' birth, but it does give clues. Luke 2:8-14 speaks of shepherds living outdoor and tending to a flock of sheep. The text reads, "And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night." Scholars of the Bible have concluded that this would be highly unlikely in the month of December, for the weather conditions would be too cold to live outside or tend to a flock of sheep. In addition, it is also unlikely that Augustus would force Jews to trek to their home cities under the cold and rainy seasons.

Why do people celebrate Jesus' birth on December 25?
It is uncertain why December 25th was chosen. One theory is that it was influenced by pagan ( ancient polytheistic religions) holidays. Before the Romans converted to Christianity, they celebrated the popular holiday Saturnalia, a festival of feasting and revelry held in December in celebration of Saturn, the god of agriculture, and the winter solstice.

Kelly Wittmann wrote, "In 350, Pope Julius I declared that Christ's birth would be celebrated on December 25. There is wide acceptance of the belief that Pope Julius I was trying to make it as painless as possible for pagan Romans, who remained a majority at that time, to convert to Christianity. The new religion went down a bit easier, knowing that their feasts would not be taken away from them." Moreover, in ancient Babylon, December 25th was the feast of the Son of Isis, Goddess of Nature, was celebrated with, "Raucous partying, gluttonous eating and drinking, and gift-giving were traditions of this feast.

As Muslims we do not celebrate birthdays of anyone as these are all of pagan origin. Celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is not legislated in the religion.

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said "Whoever imitates a people is one of them" .. so we do not want to be considered pagans, which is why we don't celebrate birthdays, christmas etc

We follow the practice of the Prophets, and both Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them) didn't celebrate their birthdays or tell others around them to, so why should we?? Do we think we are better than those Christians or Muslims who were the Companions of these Prophets?? I don't think we could come close to their dedication to God!!

In Islam there are two celebrations in a year which are the two Eids.. Eid-ul-Fitr after Ramadhan and Eid-ul- Adhaa,

GOD has commanded to follow the prophets from first prophet Adam to last prophet Mohammad (peace be upon them all) including Jesus (peace be upon him) in order to be SUCCESSFUL that is both in this WORLD and ETERNAL PARADISE. If any prophet of GOD ever celebrated Christmas the Muslims will have NO problem in celebrating it. Regards,

christmas is more tradition than religion. they don't even know the exact birth of Jesus. but if christian celebrate Jesus as God! then i can't celebrate it. but i don't see a problem to celebrate the birth of jesus by remembering his teaching just like all the prophes of God, but then i have to celebrate Moses birth as well.

No we don't. We are followers of Prophet Muhammad and honour days in his life more accordingly.

But this does not lessen our respect and love for Jesus (pbuh)
