Both prayer and praise moves God. I believe praise moves God to answer prayer.

This is the reply from one who has always prayed God Almighty and only got from Him, his heart's desires, not once but many times. I am living a happy life without much wealth or power. The key to getting answers from God is to beg with humility and seriousness. Ask with full confidence. Cry if possible and keep praying day in day out say for about a week or 10 days. Give ample time to prayer to come to you as everything will happen in a natural and normal way. Never complain to anyone the apparent delay. Once you get used to praying, your prayers will be answered more quickly. Repeat constantly that you ask only from Him and you have no one to help except for Him. God Almighty listens to our prayers no matter how good or bad we are. And He listens to all denominations, irrespective of beliefs. You only have to try it to believe. May God bless you with your heartfelt desires. Muhammad Javed Iqbal

Those of us who do believe prayer brings results, whether or not it is the result we wanted are praising everytime they pray.
I believe prayer is praise, we realize all is through and from God and we give thanks.

How can prayers move when god is supposed to decreed everything? God is trancendental, he knows start to end. What are you trying to imply is that god changes his mind somewhere? the concept of god does not work that way, otherwise its contradictory.

Praise God for our blessings.

God inhabits our praise. We have not because we ask not.. so we need to pray to get answers.
