Please consider the following:

When fish enter into caves...and become trapped, over time their eyes atrophy. If they were to swim back out into the light their eyes would (over generations) grow back.

This is fact.

I don't believe that if you throw a bunch of letters into the air that they will land into beautiful forms of poetry such as Milton, Whitman, Tennyson, etc...)

It seems kinda obvious that Creative Inteligence is
at work (in the eye and poetry.)

But why does eye want to see itself?

Don't groan, I'm on your team (I wasn't always)

Question:

What form of deity or spiritual being could you reasonably postulate that would be consistent with scientific knowledge as it stands now?

Thoughts:

If your deity is one that buries dinosaur bones on the sixth day and fakes gravitational lensing on the day the telescopes are out, then I say you violate "reasonable".

We're not thinking "logically possible" here. Nearly anything is logically possible. I'm looking for something that's a bit closer to your everyday sort of plausability.

Doesn't have to be any type of god that already "exists" in culture anywhere, but it can be if you like.

Just asking cos I'm interested in the idea, that's all. Thanks!

I know its not for me to judge but all my friends are very sinful and dirty-minded. It rubs off on me a lot even though I am a Christian. I try to tell them to not do it around me but they just kinda shrug. Now my mind is on things it shouldnt be a lot of the time, and I have done things that definitely do not reflect my Christian values. I repent but can't stop myself form doing them again... I even find myself looking forward and planning to do these types of things later on in the day. I repent again and again, but I dont feel forgiven, or any less guilty. They say I must not be asking with a sincere heart, but I cant hardly do that myself. It seems like everyone else gets real emotional whenever they pray, but I dont even hardly feel a connection. I read the bible, I understand the bible, I have been saved, I know when something that I'm doing wrong I shouldnt be doing it but I still do it again and again the same things. What is wrong with me?!! I

Can a society support religious tolerance and freedom for all? Or must it ensure public conformity through laws that ensure outward religious signs (such as distinctive garb or religious symbols) are to be worn only in private areas?

Do we follow the French model? The ideals of the United States? Or some intermediate model?

To ensure a free society, do we draw the ironic conclusion that a pious, Islamic woman may no longer wear the veil in public?

To ensure a free society, do we dictate that any reference to God or a particular religion is barred from public venues?

man who refers to himself as a Pastor or a Preacher?
Then think they know every religion out there & pass judgement on it. They will be the first to tell you that your "faith" is wrong. Yet the "Fathers" of the catholic belief is what you hear so much of about molestation. Yet they can preach to others about sin. What gives them that right? Are you going to tell me that its OK because they did their 20 hail mary's & now forgiven... Or what about the Pastors that claim the Christian beliefs. They say mormons aren't Christian because they don't believe in the bible. Wrong again. That is their MAIN book. Not the Book Of Mormon. Mormons actually have a job outside of the church & monetarily provide for their families & serve the church for free. The other churches - nope i don't think so. The others get paid for their teachings. So they profit from the bible. Now how is that right? Mormons give to so many organizations, homeless, sick kids, abused women & don't ask to be recognized for it.

All 'christians' ignore Matthew 5:48:
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

True Christians (and they are extremely few in number) understand that the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) is the key to understanding Matthew 5:48. These are the people who live in accordance with the Word. They do not persecute or harass anyone. They are the ones who understand the need for humility.

All the others who call themselves 'christian' are misled by the words of Peter, Paul and the OT. Peter and Paul corrupted the Word by emphasizing grace (Paul mostly). Peter had denied Jesus, Paul was a self-appointed preacher after killing Christians. Neither could face the truth. They comforted themselves that because they did not attain perfection, no one could. This is arrogance, and has misled so many. To console themselves, they emphasized faith in grace, rather than the Sermon. They believed their only hope was forgiveness, not Matthew 5:48.

So now can we please stop posting the annoying questions about black people having their own college fund and excluding everyone else because the truth is we're all guilty. If we want to call black people racist, then we'll have to put ourselves into the category too.

I really like these boots because of their rugged look, and I plan to buy them for college. But I live in Florida, and the people I see wearing these to school are redneck-kind of kids. Can I wear these without getting called a redneck? If I need different clothes with these boots, what kind do I need?

These are the boots:
