man who refers to himself as a Pastor or a Preacher?
Then think they know every religion out there & pass judgement on it. They will be the first to tell you that your "faith" is wrong. Yet the "Fathers" of the catholic belief is what you hear so much of about molestation. Yet they can preach to others about sin. What gives them that right? Are you going to tell me that its OK because they did their 20 hail mary's & now forgiven... Or what about the Pastors that claim the Christian beliefs. They say mormons aren't Christian because they don't believe in the bible. Wrong again. That is their MAIN book. Not the Book Of Mormon. Mormons actually have a job outside of the church & monetarily provide for their families & serve the church for free. The other churches - nope i don't think so. The others get paid for their teachings. So they profit from the bible. Now how is that right? Mormons give to so many organizations, homeless, sick kids, abused women & don't ask to be recognized for it.

Aren't we not supposed to pass judgement on others? Especially on things you truly don't have knowledge on. How many others out there understand this? I hear this all the time about religions. Mostly about Preachers. And when I ask them they have no reply but say "Bless you my child lets pray"... No thanks I can do that myself. Oh wait I do every day before I leave home, eat a meal, and go to bed at night.

A Pastor here locally is even on the news because he sold the church without the knowledge of their own congregation.

Mormons are Christians. True - no religion is perfect. I've never thought that. Also true there are good people who do good things for other without wanting something in return nor want recognition for it. Those are truely good people. I'm not confused about my beliefs of faith. But I work with a couple guys that sometimes get me riled up with what they say & are so hipocritical & judgemental. I don't talk about religious things at work - it's wrong. But 1 is "Christian" & the other is a Jehova. Boy Howdy....

I know what you are feeling, I too am LDS and so I understand. Many people have and always will have misconceptions about our beliefs. I think the best thing that you can do is to not let it bother you. You know what you believe and no one can change that. Satan wants us to get angry and upset. Don't let him get the best of you. Continue doing what you know to be right and don't let others get in your way. I think a general authority said that we can't choose how others act towards us but we can choose how we react. If they don't understand what the church is all about, just do your best to live the gospel to the fullest and you will be happy.

Dear tygersnid,

It seems that you are very angry. If every person was honest, however, we all would admit to being hypocritical at some time or another. In fact, the Lord tells us to not to judge--For with what judgment ye judge, shall ye be judged. I think that people should be concerned with what God knows about us and not with what people say about us. Remember, the religious leaders of Jesus day said that He had a devil? Those men were supposed to be the closest to God, yet they could not recognize God Almighty standing before them. The point I hope to convey is don't trust what men say--trust the Bible. The Bible is the authority. The Bible is the word of God and it is the truth. I have found errors in what church leaders have taught me when I began to search the Scriptures as Christ said (John 5:39). In fact, I have found many doctrines taught in the church which are contrary to what the Bible states. All I can advise you is follow the Bible, not man or churches. Remember, we are all sinners.

You seem very mixed-up and confused, which is which? Are Mormons included in the 'Christian' category? I hope not. I am not a Mormon and we do a lot of charity and good works at my church, however, that does not make me nor any one else a citizen for Heaven. It is only by the blood of Jesus Christ that I can boast, and not of myself, for my good works are like filthy rags. God does not see us through the eyes of religion but through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ. That means you have to have a relationship with God not the church.

Did you know the Vatican is it's own country?
How much do you think that country is worth? There sits King Pope with all his riches while people in other countries die of starvation, is that not hypocritical?
My brother-in-law is a Minister for the Pentecostal Assembly but he Does have a normal job; not all Pastors live off the church.

Pass the collection plate my way, please.

Sadly, this so-called "question" pretends to advocate the kind of volunteer lay-ministry that was practiced by the first-century Christian congregation and which is practiced by Jehovah's Witnesses today. But then the questioner concludes by CONTRASTING so-called "Christians" with (presumably) Jehovah's Witnesses.

In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe! There should be no doubt that Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion.

Interestingly, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"

(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.

(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”

(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name

So why do anti-Witnesses try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications? Because anti-Witnesses recognize that it is the preaching work that makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

Mormons are not Christians because they do not worship Jesus Christ as God. Mormons do not pray to Jesus, Mormons do not have a personal relationship with Jesus.

Mormons are not Christians because they reject the Bible as the infallible, inspired Word of God.

Mormons are not Christians because they oppose every Christian doctrine.

Mormons are not Christians because their god is the father of Satan and their temples are decorated with pentagrams instead of the Cross. Also, the Mormon priesthood is from their devil/spirit brother Lucifer, who is god of their world.

Mormons are not Christians because they are involved with contact with the dead, revelations from the dead, baptisms for the dead, marriages with the dead, geneologies of the dead, etc.

The Book of Mormon is not scripture, it was written by magic, divination, clarvoyance occult practices.
Joseph Smith dropped a magical seer stone into his hat, then buried his face in the hat and proceeded to dictate the Book of Mormon. He claimed to see in the darkened hat the words he dictated.

Jesus said:
Matthew 7:22-23
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Why don't you visit the Presbyterian Church where the congregation monetarily provides for their families & serves the church for free. BTW, they are Christians who believe in the Bible and have missionaries, only their missionaries love and care for people and are not just interested in church membership and tithe money like the Mormons.
