I would say your grad studies professor is leading you down the liberal path with a fallacious argument of "confusing cause and effect"
http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/confusing-cause-and-effect.html

Some questions to pose to your professor:

1. What about Medieval China, they lived in constant warfare for a millenium?

2. What about the tribal cultures of Africa, or North America?

3. Professor, what non-Christian nations are historically recorded as non-warlike? The Muslims of Arabia? The Persians? The Indians? The pagan Greeks?

4. Is it a coincidence that most Christian nations are industrialized?"

5. What is your definition, professor, of "more war"? Is it a greater number, wider scale or more historically recorded or even televised wars?

6. Does being a Christian nation mean that nation is more likely to be industrialized, have a greater economic stake in the world, be more able to compete with other nations for influence and natural resources and be more involved in world affairs?

7. Professor, if I put on my final essay "I hate George Bush and all Republicans and I wish I were back in the 1960s with John F. Kennedy in the White House and the Beatles on the radio.", will I get an A in the course?

Because Christian nations live a better life than their neighbors, the neighbors are jealous and will use violence to take the wealth away. Case in point, Check out "the Black Robe", its a true story about a tribe of Indians who became Chrictian in the sixteen hundreds and were whiped out by their enemies the Iraquois, who were not Christian. The neat thing about America is that you don't have to be Christian to live here, but its best not to be a religion that hates Christians, if you want to prosper.

The fact that countries involved themselves in war has nothing to do with being a christian nation or what have you. the reason why counries go to war is mostly because of their economic interest and not because of their religious affilation. Hope you are not being brain~ washed.

Because peace doesn't come the the absence of strife and conflict, it comes in how we deal with it. Christianity's stance upon anything that contradicts it is to destroy it, by any means necessary, whether that is "demonizing the enemy", deception, war or outright genocide, rather than embracing differences and disagreements as opportunity for understanding.

Based on what fact or data base?

As opposed to Communism...which merely waged war on its own citizens.

As opposed to Japan's attacks on its Asia neighbors such as China, Russia and the Pacific islands.

I guess the important thing is, do the identified nations get into more wars as agressor or defender?

Either your source isn't accurate or you're purposely manipulating that data.

If you look at world history from a Christian viewpoint, the world is roughly 6000 years old. Christianity has only been around for 2000 years. It does not make sense that a religion that has only been around for 1/3 of the world history is responsible for the majority of war. If you take an evolutionist world view, the world has been around for billions of years and it makes even less sense that a religion that has been around for 2000 years is responsible for the majority of war.

Try again and try to be more logical next time, or at least make sense.

Statistically, it's all the same. There are just more Christians than anyone else. Buddhists fight, Muslims fight, Hindus fight. Atheists fight. But it seems like less because their numbers are fewer.

It is our human nature to want to feel superior. Be it high schoolers fighting over who has the best jeans, or secular governments fighting over land.

Why focus on the negative and ignore the positive? Christians brought down slavery. Christians brought equality for women. Christians were the first to have non segregated schools. For that matter, Christians were the first to have schools for non-white people! Christians were the first to address global poverty and world hunger. Christians do more to work for peace.

I'd go on, but I don't think you're paying attention.

don't forget to add that because many think their religious belief system is the only true religion and because of this these people know what is best for everyone else they may have repeat may have the idea they can shove the Christian religious belief system down everyone's throat.
