A muslims invented the telescope, the pendulum,the camera lens and the first watch was made by a muslim also. Photography was invented by Ibn-al Hashem and Mohammedd Musa invented an instrument by which the earth could be measured. The credit for soap also goes to Muslims as does the sawmill. Spherical triginometry was invented my Muslims also. Ibn Fimas was credited with making glass from stone. The world first organized hospital was built in Cairo in 827 CE. And the first attempt by man to fly was in 852 by a Muslim. Ad guns were used by the Arabs in 1340 AD (long before they were supposed to have been invented by the Chinese) Also an Arab Muslim invented coffee, cheques and the 3 course meal. Now I grant that some of these inventions are not within the last hundred years, but I think that if it were not for the work of these inventors and many others like them, we would not have many of the inventions that we enjoy today. Without the camera lens, would we have TV? Without coffee we wouldnt have coffeemakers, espresso makers and all of the other things made with coffee that we use to wake up every morning. Others have built upon the inventions of these men. Then there is the Koran, which tells us a lot about science that wasnt known until recently, Like how a baby is formed in the womb, how the mountains play a role is stabilizing the earth's crust. Muslims have contributed greatly to the knowledge we now have in all scientific fields.

You will notice there are muslims amongst them.

Anyway, the west is leading the science and invention now. Islam lead it for several hundreds of years. They introudced so many concepts and taught the europeans and the humanity much more than anyone else did. I recommend you to read about the history of Islam but from an Islamic resource. Also study the teachings of Islam and how it educates people to study the Quran.

Why should we? We led Scientific discovery for 100's of years. Christians/Jews are just building off of what we already discovered/invented.
