John 7:

16Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. 17If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.

Why is it, that most people refuse to critially think instead of saying something is false?

Why do people say the bible is not true when they have refused to even research it at all?

Why do people try to find a way to disprove the bible but when they can't, they ignore it?

The Bilbe talks about a "Book of Life" that our names will be written in.

Do you really think there is a real book? If so, wouldn't there have to be a "pen of life" and/or "pencil of life" to write in it? (And an "eraser of life" to remove people who lose their salvation.)

Even humans use database software these days to keep track of large amounts of information, so wouldn't God be at least as high-tech as humans? If He does in fact use a "Database Of Life", would it be Microsoft or Oracle?

Realistically, the whole purpose of a book or database is to keep track of something, but couldn't God just keep track in His head? Would he really even need a book or database?

In either case, since about 10 billion people have lived on Earth, even if 10% received salvation that would be 1 billion, so if there were 500 entries per page (very small font!) there would need to be 2 million pages or a huge database.

Seriously though, do you think there is a real "Book"?

I do not mean this to be provocative at all, so I apologise for any offense. A friend told me that Jewish people got their reputation for being tight(apologies for this) because they believe that material possesions at death are counted for in the afterlife. I know nothing about this faith and wonder if there is any truth in this? Is this like the ancient Egyptians being entombed with their valuables. Please constructive educated answers only.

In Islam, the name Israel actually came from a story where Jacob fought or wrestle with Archangel Izrail(the angel of death) and later Jacob won the fight.God ordered him to make a name of his tribe out of the name of the archangel which is now known as the people of Israel which symbolizes strength and bravery of the people since they used the name of the angel of death. Are there any of you among Jews and Christians know this story?share your thoughts with us....

If you are so sure that Jesus and Muhammad haven't been spoken through by the same God, what are the fundamental differences between their teachings? (p.s. I'm sure both J n M clearly stated that they were NOT GOD, just MEN.. but rather in touch if i do say so myself)

Ok since Christ will be coming back sooner than we expect, suppose someone walked up to you and said
I am Christ, follow me.
You have never seen this person before, and they dont look like the traditional portraits of Jesus, since we don't know what he truly looks like. Lets even say he is black, bald, etc. Complete opposite of the traditional version... would you disregard him and consider his actions and statements of being our savior blasphemous, or would you follow this stranger to his destination?

This is an interesting question... Is it your primary language you think with, or is it the language in which the context of the thought is applicable to?

In other words, if you speak Arabic and English, and if your primary language is English, do you think in Arabic when visit a fellow Arab at his house and begin talking with them...?

Okay - I think political correctness has gone waay too far with this one. There is a drive up ATM machine at a Chase bank that has an audio function for visually impaired people. It also has braille on it. Why would a visually impaired person be driving in the first place? Do you think this is just plain stupid and totally overboard like me?

Two things before you answer -

1) A quote from your religious text of choice does not prove it.

2) Bear in mind that most people are the same religion as their parents (or the exact polar opposite).

I am a total christian and do attend church. I have been raised never to open the portholes to the other side. I do however, enjoy going to scary haunted places and seeing if I cannot capture a picture or two or hear something. I do not play the ouji or have seances. Just like to investigate a bit. Is that real bad?
