Funny how it seems the more devout someone is the more killing becomes justifiable. How dare someone worship a different invisible man in the sky than you do, let's kill `em. I know that's how the guys who carried out September 11th felt along with those who carried out The Salem Witch Trials and The Spanish Inquisition.
For centuries the church contended that the world was flat and the sun, moon, and all other planets revolved around it. Needless to say when fellows like Nicolaus Copernicus, and Giordano Bruno came along to challenge this they were killed by The Church. Galileo Galilee challenged this theory too but was ordered to be silenced. It wasn't until when man finally landed on the moon that they had to reverse their position lest they appear stupid and everyone see religion for the nonsense that it is.
Also religion makes a great excuse for slaughtering and maiming people to gain land. Manifest Destiny was a handy dandy excuse the pioneers used to slaughter Native Americans in "taming the wild west" Much like The Crusaders of the middle ages used and The Palestinians use as justification to attack Israel. Yep just say that God says it's our destiny.
This brand of thinking is what helps keep people stupid and easily controllable.

Judgment can only come from One. Ofcourse it is not right to kill.
It has nothing to do with spirituality. It is God's law and God's laws are simple and understandable. There is no excuse for anybody. Even those who claim that they don't believe in God. There is no excuse.
People chose not do believe because it keeps them from getting their cake. It means that they have to love others as they love themselves. Notice that the more you love yourself, the less you love others. Just take any 5 people and you will verify. It's no secret.
You should not desire the other person's things or wife for that matter.
Simple and you know that this is right and moral and just and ethical and etc....
yet,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,test and document the times you break this commandment and you will be surprise.

there are circumstances in which its just to kill.
but killing can't help anyone be spiritually secure, per se.
I'm not quite clear on the reasoning of the question.

Thou Shalt Not Kill.
Those in power who pretend to be zealous Bible-Thumpers obviously have double standards.

If everyone on earth relied on spirituality, conflicts would be fewer and far between, but so long as religion rules supreme instead we will keep slaughtering each other like cattle.
