The onlt thing you can take with you are your good deeds.
The idea you mentioned is an absolute contradiction to any possible Jewish idea about death - and there are a lot of Jewish beliefs concerning death. But this ain't one of 'em.

i'm not Jewish yet I accept as true with Aryeh. The transformations in Judaism over the final 2000 years are very minor and the dying penalty became hardly performed. there is not any data that the "stone disobedient infants" section became ever performed yet became probable understood as a warning of what would desire to take place if somebody married a pagan spouse. as a ways because of the fact the Temple being rebuilt and the sacrifices being reinstated, particular this might take place. Ezekiel's Temple (chapters 40-40 8) is a destiny temple that has not been geared up yet. it quite is concept that Messiah himself will build this Temple. Eze 40 3:19-27 checklist the sacrifices which would be presented whilst the Altar is dedicated and 40 5:18 starts the dedication of the Temple itself. Zechariah 14:sixteen-21seems to point that not purely will the Jews be sacrificing lower back however the countries will bypass as much as Jerusalem to sacrifice besides.

I'm a skeptic. Don't forget that you will have no body (don't pack any clothes). You will have no appetite, so eating(one of the joys of life) will only be a memory. There is nothing for an individual to do (they don't have cable). Most will envy the people who are alive and living there lives on earth. Heaven is really a boring place. A lot of people playing Harps but, what if you get stuck next to someone who plays the Accordion? The human spirit needs challenge and there is none in heaven (or it wouldn't be heaven). The religions say that you will spend your time admiring a man who lives in a cloud. And then what do you do for week 2 or 3 and so on?

No, that idea is incorrect. In fact, Jews are supposed to be buried in a very simple wooden box with a simple white garb to show that everyone is equal. There is a lot more to how Jews view death. This is just a taste. But I think it might help you get a better idea of the truth.

NO!!!! Clearly, your friend is not Jewish.
Actually, Jewish funerals/burials are much more subdued and meager (i'm not sure that is the right word) than at least Catholic burials (the only two types i've ever been to). Nothing goes in the casket, no flowers, just dirt and rocks.
