I have created a new and improved meaning for WWJD, What Would Jim Do? (Halpert) If anyone has someone at work that bugs the hell out of them (a "Dwight") they will appreciate this. I came up with it while sitting at my secretaries desk and trying to find subtle ways to screw with her. This isn't really a question, I was just wanted to share my epiphany. What does everyone think of this version of WWJD?

Havent yall heard the more the cushion the better the pushin? why do people think that just becase fat people are fat we are lazy slobs who must not have feelings so why not TRY to push us around? I think fat folks need a civil rights amendment all to themselves as were cross cultral???!!!

Many people believe that homosexuality and transexuality are mental disorders and "sinful" acts, as God does not condone them. Some parents are going to the ends saying that it is unethical to even teach or talk about such things in schools.

- Are these things titled as a mental disorder primarily because of the Bible teachings? Homosexuality and the like were a common practice before and after the Bible was assembled together.
- Why would homosexuality and transexuality be considered as such? Do you agree with it? If not, what would you classify it as?


Are they forms of major past life regression? Do these people choose to be these things? Are they born like this? Is it sinful? An outcry for attention? Would therapy and medication make it all better?
What do you think it all means, or does it mean anything?

I'm only curious as to what people think, as where I live it is mostly extreme Southern Bapist who can't even handle thinking about such things. All I get is, "Read the bible"

loss of respect especially how others perceive you or treat you because everyone loves the rich and successful but not the poor. The rich don't want to connect with the poor in any social gatherings, do you agree?

I would appreciate some serious answers from knowledgeable Catholics.

A couple of years ago, the Catholic Church signed a document with the Lutheran Church, where they agreed that we are saved by faith alone. But in the Gospel, St. James says that we also need works. Also, in a section of the Gospel, at the Last Judgment, Jesus says something like "I was hungry and you fed me; I was naked and you clothed me..."

So does the Catholic Church believe that we are we saved by faith alone or not?

there is an old phrase that has been around since at the very least when my parents were my age (30,000 years ago), it's "... a dime a dozen". usually in the pretext of "excuses are...".
being as this phrase has been around for quite some time, i wonder how inflation has effected it? perhaps it's 2.50 a dozen now, I'm not sure, that's why I'm asking you all. also, what would the cost be for just 1?

So my friend Elena (she's Jewish) was watching R.R.'s new TV show & she kept telling me how she can tell Rachael is Jewish. I always thought she was Italian..... Elena then took a vote of everyone in our dorm she could find (wound up about 50%/50%) to guess if she is Jewish or not.
Anyway I never had Jewish friends before coming to college & maybe it's a little culture shock? but I am wondering a few things:


1. why do Jewish people sometimes get mistaken for Italian, or Italian for Jewish? I've wondered this for a while but didn't want to insult anyone so didn't ask.

2. Why is it that SOME Jewish people seem really interested in other people' ethnicity? Like this same girl, (Elena), when I tell her I met someone new, she will immediately ask "What's her last name?" , then "Is she Jewish?"

3. Is any dark eyed, dark haired European (whose name is not obviously Italian, or Irish, etc.) labeled as possibly Jewish ? (by those that label, not me!)

I didn't realize that a question and its details could not be edited once I submitted, so I'll add a little more to the question. Keep in mind that this is all theoretical, not something I've actually done or would do, but just as someone who has never served others, I don't know what impact it might have. Here are some things to consider: What if the server was terrible and they were going to get a poor tip otherwise? What if the server was very flirty the entire time? Would it matter if the server was actually ugly, or would it be equally offensive to an attractive girl? I personally believe that it would be worth such a large tip in exchange for an insult, no matter how bad. It was just something I got to thinking about, so keep in mind this isn't something I've done. The people who create edgy comedies aren't #$% just for thinking up inappropriate material. If you can think of other questions or modifications, feel free to add on to the topic, as I'm sure I didn't cover everything.

I find it really upsetting that in this word, we have to bend over backwards not to offend Muslims, but as a Christian, people think that there's nothing wrong with offending Christians.
