I find it really upsetting that in this word, we have to bend over backwards not to offend Muslims, but as a Christian, people think that there's nothing wrong with offending Christians.

How funny, we were just having this conversation at work yesterday! Why is that? And how come in schools if you're gay everyone is supposed to accept you as you are, but if you're a Christian you can't even talk about your faith?

FYI...its the other way around.
Christians were the first to blatantly insult Muslims and Islam ever since 9/11.
We retaliated in kind because your misguided Christian brothers and sisters would not stop the insults and harrassments against Muslims. You keep blaming Muslims for the work of extremists groups. Why don't you blame the religion that spawned Timothy McVeigh, the guy who blew up the FBI building in Oklahoma? I'm pretty sure he's a white Christian. You have your share of religious loonies as well (David Koresh, Reverend Jim Jones, Pat Robertson). You'd probably raise hell if someone insulted Christians and Christianity by saying something derogatory about these people.
The problem with most white Americans is that you are so prejudiced but refuse to accept that you have skeletons in your closet and you refuse to apologize for the atrocities your forefathers committed in the past.
You're proud that your forefathers almost exterminated the Native Americans.
You're proud that your forefathers participated and profitted in the slave trade.
You're proud that your forefathers beat, raped, enslaved and murdered Blacks and instilled the fear of God using Baptist and Protestant ministers.
You're proud that your forefathers hanged alleged witches in the Salem witch trials.
You're proud that your forefathers formed the Ku Klux Klan to kill all non-whites and non-Christians.
You're proud that your forefathers and your current generation love to call others N!ggers, w3tb@cks, k!k3s, 5piks, r@gheads, and all other nastiness but you refused to be called hypocritical white trash even when it's undeniably true.
Get the facts first before you make your observation or conclusion. Don't insult Muslims with your American ignorance and hypocrisy.

I, for one, have no problem offending Muslims..you can too, you have my permission. This religion is an excuse for barbarism, simple as that. I saw today, that Muslims overran another area yesterday, killing everyone in their way...To them, if you are not Muslim, you are nothing and not deserving to live. Barbarians, one and all. They can sit behind their Koran all they want, but when the chips are down, they are the first to draw a sabre and "off with their heads!"

Maybe people are afraid to offend muslims because they are not afraid to blow themselves and innocent bystanders. We don't know what they plan to do next. People just know that they hate those who believe differently from them.

I try not to offend anyone. If the Muslims wish to worship a false god that's their business. If they want to think that blowing themselves up will get them 72 virgins, that's their business too.

the three numbers "666" at the instant are not widely generic as an emblem. in case you have been donning a photograph desecrating a stable image like the Holy pass, the logo may well be known, and human beings might take offense. i think of hardly anybody may well be conscious your shirt.

It's only the radical Muslims that we "can't" offend. Because they want to kill all infidels. Christianity has the radicals also. All religions do.

That is true it dose suck but most Christians do not strap bombs to them self and try to blow up as many people as they can to make a statement. Christians only blow up planed parent hood places and assassinate the Dr. the body count is to low for the world to pay attention to

When Christians start rioting and killing people over cartoons, then people might be hesitant to offend them. Until then, we'll just have to be content to watch the crazies make themselves look crazier.
