Does this site ever make you want to weep giant tears for humanity? Does the ignorance spouted here ever make you throw up just a tiny bit into your mouth? That dinosaur question did it for me. I mean, people can't differentiate between a dinosaur and a big lizard, hoiw ever will they be able to differentiate between science and creationist propaganda?

I believe that true piece can only be found in salvation. When you are sure of your salvation, all parts of life we find difficult to deal with are certain to seem so much less important if you know in your heart that you are saved. I think I am saved, but I am not absolutely certain. I am the sort of person that has a very difficult time trusting and believing in others, cynical by nature, and I question many things, and seem to over analyze everything. I believe in Jesus Christ, I have attended church and went forward to give my life to Christ, been baptized, and raise my children as Christians. Other christians I know seem so certain of there salvation. However, I am not. I want to obtain that piece that comes with ones salvation. I am looking for help from someone to help me obtain that.

I can understand why people living in the dark ages believed in magic. Why does 95 % of the population still believe in it today? Is the fear of death being the end that much of a motivator?

I was talking with a good female friend of mine and noticed a wafer thin girl walking out of the restaurant. My friend mentioned that she wished she looked like that, and I said "No, you don't want to look like that, you are nice and cuddly". She became very offended at this and said that implied she was fat. I disagree. Thoughts?

P.S. She is definately not fat. Just not anorexic like models these days.

Here is the problem. I have found the Holy Grail and have become the Grail King. The Holy Grail is not a cup. The word Holy Grail is a metaphor for the Philosopher's Stone, the Lost Word, the Elixir of Life, the panacea (the universal cure)... If I give it to the World; this old world will be destroyed. What would you do?

a freind of mine told me that the reason why we do not converse with each other really well is because i need god

he said that no body is ment for me ( as in a significant other ) and that god is the only one that can be there for me

i am not sure i understand .. can you explain this to me ? why would he say that?

i am not sure i agree - he said that god is the only one that will be there for me? so freinds or loved ones are not worth it?

( this guy is in his 40s and been single all his life and i wonder if this is not why )

please tell me what you think - thanks!

I was at a local retail business and there were 3 cashiers open at 7am. There were only 3 of us in line at one cashier and 2 customers each in the other 2 lines. A lady who was second in line was already complaining they should open another cashier! I mean, she was next. I'd been waiting longer than her, she's only been there something like a minute! Why do people think they should have their own personal cashier evertime they go to the store? When I go out to buy something, I already know that I might have to wait in line. If there was a lot more customers I could understand her complaint. What's with our society?

While questioning the atheists, this image struck me as an explanation for why so many religions exist, seemingly in disagreement with one another.

Each mirror in the House of Mirrors distorts the original image, yet they all reflect something that truly, objectively, exists.

You both sound like fanatics, ignoring the logic that argues for uncertainty, or at least deference to the possibility of being wrong. You both resort to "I believe because I believe" circular logic.

Given all the grief atheists give theists for the faith of theists, I am amazed you'd resort to the same reasoning and be blind to it.

And to clarify:
1. I am not a christian
2. I'm not an atheist.
3. I'm not an agnostic (I have my own convincing spiritual experience)
4. Atheism is as faith-based as Theism, due to the lack of convincing evidence to support the premise of Atheism.

Not all Muslims are terrorists

Then answer my questions.

Name of muslim RELIGIOUS leader(not political) who fought against terrorism?

Name a Muslim religious Leader who found a terrorist from thier Mosque and handed over to police?

If all muslims are not terrorist why do they get big , violent, mass protest , calling for beheading and bombings in the streets of Europe ,ten thousand of Muslims taking part?

Out of 1 billion mulims , 20% only read the quran with understanding , and most of them turns bobmbers , imams recruiting terrorists. Comment on it.

How can 1 billion people keep quiet regarding the actions of a minority?

Does all muslims support terroriist?

I thought the whole principal of Atheism was to be a free thinking leader. To deny the existence of a deity and not to follow a "cult"? If this is true, why do you steal Christians identities, such as "WhynotaskDon", "Julia" and "Me, the original JIBBA JABBA" Why do you ask the same questions OVER and OVER, (Like can I roll a joint with pages from the Bible" and "Was Jesus Gay" Can't you people think for yourselves? Can't you come up with any orginal ideas? I wouldn't call that free thinking, I'd call that "without a mind of yourr own" I guess that's why you have such a hard time with our concept of "blind faith", Appearently you can't even think for yourselves, much less believe in something you can't copy cat.

An actual reply from another question I asked:

"In my opinion, the muslim religion is a very violent religion to begin with. In its scripture, it says that people should go out and force others to become muslims. If they do not convert, kill the infidels."

Is this true, and if so, how do you know? Is there an online link that you can search the Koran for this passage?

Is this attributable to the wide use of slang, shortcuts used in e-mailing and text messaging, or has our society just gotten very sloppy with our language? Is there any other possible explanations. There our many times I cannot understand what some groups of people are even saying or talking about when they speak, and yes they are speaking English, I think.
