"And He said to another, "Follow Me." But he said, "Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father." But He said to him, "Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim everywhere the kingdom of God." Another also said, "I will follow You, Lord; but first permit me to say good-bye to those at home." But Jesus said to him, "No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." (Luke 9:59-62)"

Oh, I'll follow Jesus BUT...'

'Yes, I'm a believer, BUT...'

'I'm a christian, BUT Jesus didn't mean that...'

Oh heavenly Father, help us overcome our deceitful hearts.

The Way is narrow indeed (Matt. 7, John 14), and one of the greatest stumbling blocks is hanging onto people who are not willing to forsake all and follow Jesus with all their hearts. Take, for instance, the men Jesus addresses in the Luke 9 passage quoted above. The first is unwilling to let go of his unbelieving natural family members, and uses as an excuse not to follow Jesus, the attending of a ritual of hopelessness and death. The second, making the same error of holding onto his natural family (Matt. 12:48-50), Jesus' judges as unworthy to enter the kingdom of God.

A friend of mine has had 3 white feathers land at her feet, all at different times, and on two occassions she has been in a room where the windows and doors are closed (and no, she doesn't have any birds!!). I think this means something to do with a spiritual guardian or someone that has passed over letting you know they are ok, but am not sure. Can anyone please help.

"So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." (John 8:31-32)"

How easily the traditions of men bind us and make us either less useful or utterly useless to God the Father...

If you take a survey and ask one thousand people who live in the united states of america the following question, "are you a christian?" - one doesn't need to be a prophet to know that the vast majority of people will answer, "yes". A significant number will answer something to the effect of, "oh, well I guess, but I prefer the term 'whatever-religious-sect-I-am-a-member-of'", like protestant or roman catholic or evangelical or mormon or mennonite or pentacostal et al. So, while some will not feel comfortable with the label "christian" as their first religious label due to a high allegiance to their particular religious sect's name (e.g. baptist, catholic, methodist, lutheran, mormon, etc.), the vast majority would accede that the label "christian" is a label they would take to themselves to describe themselves.

My recent experience of many Visions disclosed very aptly and
positively by a Pastor with much fasting and joint Prayers, which
encouraged the layman to make deep commitments financially
turned out to nothing and a complete failure. So how come these
Visions are sought for in Prayers being true? Only serious
replies are welcome.

Considering all the gods and goddesses in whom humans have believed (past and present), as well as the possibility that aliens (its a big universe) also may believe in gods and/or goddesses, what evidence do you have to rule them all out?

I'm thinking of inviting a few friends to London for October 28th. We usually just stick on some hairy wolf hands and hit the pubs, but am looking for something different this year.

Ideas so far: the Creepy Cruise on the Thames. The London Dungeon/Tower. Errrrrrrr....err..... some sort of festival? Thats it!

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hey did you here about the chip that's like a credit card but you put in you hand, so instead of getting your credit card out you just swipe your hand over this thing, just like your card?

But remember in the Bible where it talks about the mark of the beast? Where it says you won't be able to buy or sell anything without it?

Freaky huh?

..and nothing has been carefully concealed but for the purpose of coming into the open. Mark 4:22

Luke 14:16 Jesus said to him; "A certain man was spreading a grand evening meal, and he invited many. 17) And he (Jesus) sent his slave (prophet) out at the HOUR of the evening meal to SAY to the invited ones,

'COME, BECAUSE THINGS ARE NOW READY.'
~~~~~~~~~~
....then the invited ones began to make excuses as to why they were not ready. So then the householder became wrathful and said to his slave..'GO OUT QUICKLY..INVITE POOR AND CRIPPLED...and there still was room, so he said; GO OUT INTO THE ROADS AND THE FENCED IN PLACES, AND COMPEL THEM TO COME IN, THAT MY HOUSE MAY BE FILLED.
24) For I say to you, none of those men that were invited shall have a taste of my evening meal.
Rev.11:13 And in THAT HOUR a great earthquake occurred, and a tenth of the city fell, and seven thousand persons were killed by the earthquake, and the rest became frightened and gave glory to the God of heaven.
