i know it's chinese but i don't know what kind. maybe if i know what kind it might be helpful in translateing some chinese words. also what is the differance between simplified chinese and traditional chinese

I've never seen the show, but it's most likely the Mandarin dialect. As for the difference between simplified and traditional Chinese, it's not in the spoken language but in the characters. Traditional characters are generally more complicated to write because of the many strokes within each of them. Simplified characters are just simplified versions of the traditional ones so that they are easier and faster to write. In both versions, the word means exactly the same thing.

traditional characters are still used in hongkong and taiwan...the simplied characters are used in mainland china......traditional characters are much much easier to understand than simplified...each character has elements in it that give you clues to it's meaning...in simplified chinese these clues are abbreviated to lessen the number of strokes...not to increase clarity....the only thing simple about simplified characters is the reduced number of strokes...but what's left gives you no clue as to the meaning.
