the thing with God is that he is so amazing man! I may not be able, axactly, to answer that question; but can you see how green just goes so well with all the colours of the flowers? and how much this colour green just represents life? When summer is about to come into being; before the flowers start to bloom; the green leaves are the ones that come out first ,that are a representation of the good and beautiful things to come; it is just beautiful!
I trully believe it a fact that God is the gr8sest designer that will ever be!
Lets bless his lovely name; he does deseve it and a good round of applause will cetainly do!!!!!

Do Frogs see the grass as green? or orange & red? Could be the blessing of human perception for ability to communicate to one another. In other words I dont believe the grass is green. Its a human perception.
Why do we see the grass as green? Similar views in bein human that help us communicate it seems. I say we vote to God for the leaves to taste like steak so I can enjoy a meal vegetarian style.

Grass is green because it contains a pigment called Chlorophyll.
The chlorophyll is used in the process of photosynthesis where a plant produces sugar in the presence of sunlight.
Both Chlorophyll and Hemoglobin share a similar atom structure to create their respective molecules. The only actual difference in the two molecules is that of the metallic atom element.
In human blood or hemoglobin the atom is iron, while in Chlorophyll the metallic atom is magnesium.
The next time you cut the grass, that green stuff on your tennies is it's BLOOD. Ahhhhhhh!!!!

The colour that they give off is simply a reflection of the light that they do not absorb. Anything green absorbs most red and blue frequencies of light and reflects the rest.
So going by that it would be safe to say that IF God created the leaves and grass etc, the materials he chose to create them from determined their colour and he had no choice in that.

God gave plant, like many other things, a soul or a desire for growth and expression. Most(all?) plants expressed and realized this desire by taking advantage of a system that takes energy from sunlight. This required them to build there cell structure in a certain way, which humans with their imperfect seeing, interpret as GREEN.

This is a question to ask God when you die! in my opinion though it is because green is the best color! Also not everyone sees colors the same, so it is all in the eye of the beholder.

Green is a soothing color, which is why they use it for mental hospitals and jail cells sometimes.
Thank God he used green instead of hot pink or something. Just another example of how he cares about us.

They're green because of the process called photosynthesis. That's the scientific explanation.

The plants absorb the other colors of light, and reflect the green, causing the plant to appear green in color.
