..and nothing has been carefully concealed but for the purpose of coming into the open. Mark 4:22

Luke 14:16 Jesus said to him; "A certain man was spreading a grand evening meal, and he invited many. 17) And he (Jesus) sent his slave (prophet) out at the HOUR of the evening meal to SAY to the invited ones,

'COME, BECAUSE THINGS ARE NOW READY.'
~~~~~~~~~~
....then the invited ones began to make excuses as to why they were not ready. So then the householder became wrathful and said to his slave..'GO OUT QUICKLY..INVITE POOR AND CRIPPLED...and there still was room, so he said; GO OUT INTO THE ROADS AND THE FENCED IN PLACES, AND COMPEL THEM TO COME IN, THAT MY HOUSE MAY BE FILLED.
24) For I say to you, none of those men that were invited shall have a taste of my evening meal.
Rev.11:13 And in THAT HOUR a great earthquake occurred, and a tenth of the city fell, and seven thousand persons were killed by the earthquake, and the rest became frightened and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Jesus said this following his explanation to the 12 apostles of his parable of the sower, which basically is all about evangelisation of the good news of the kingdom of heaven - a truth which was in reality already prophesised by a number of prophets in the old testamant and yet none of them knew to what exactly they were referring to. But Jesus came to reveal the message that had been 'hidden' up to that point and is still hidden to many in this day and age who still fail to understand.
"Because by saying vague meaningless crap people can choose to give his words whatever meaning they like. It's easier to follow a leader when you get to choose where he leads you."
TRUE
The sewing awaits those who mourn and rejoice alike.
A loaf of bread pertains to those who participate in the kingdom of heaven.
I have made a house that sits high among the faithful for you and the ones that follow.
See? I'm not saying anything bad or anything good, 'cause I'm not saying anything specific, plus I made it sound Christianese by saying words as sewing, faithful, pertains, rejoice...
Well as to your question 'Why did Jesus say,...' everything that we do and say will one day be made known unto all.
I am not sure of the question on the rest of you stuff.
