Don't let your self get excited. This means you should not yell or raise your voice.
Calmly tell the person you don't like what they are doing and why. Don't respond to any profanity directed at you.
Profanity is bad. It makes you look stupid. Good for you for being proactive.

The whole idea is that it is profane. If you don't want to say because it's profane you probably shouldn't say anything.

A non-profane (but not necessarily polite) substitute is "Forget You." Of course, there's no really polite way to express this sentiment, is there.

Saying "screw you" is pretty much equivalent without using the f word. But if you want to be polite, you have to say something like, "I'm not sure I can fully endorse your viewpoint."

They substitute it with 'frig you!'
