Religious belief appears to be a human universal, found in every culture and in all periods of history. Only in Europe and those parts of the world influenced by European ideas, does one find such a depth of anger and contempt for what I would regard as a core aspect of what it is to be a complete human being. Why?

Recently there has been a lot of theoretical debate as to why Jesus was burned on the cross and not nailed to the cross. The intelligent person can only assume that one can only resurrect if one's bodily materiall (flesh and bone) was disintegrated. This can only be done through the process of burning like modern day cremation.

My question is that is it blasphemous for us Christians to still consider that our holy father was nailed to cross? Should we not accept that he was burned to death.

In any event whether our holy father was burned or nailed, he died to show us that when the going gets tough he doesn't back down.

I've got a 2 year old Halloween costume that my child wore only once. I thought of Ebay, to get rid of it. Any parents out there knows what a pileup and waste of all these old one-time worn costumes can amount to. Although I was an avid fan, is it too early to try and make a few bucks from the sale of it? My child doesn't want to be Steve for Halloween, and I don't want to be disrespectful about his recent untimely passing? I also think this would be some form of tribute to him, what are some opinions?

My husband and I are looking for a church to go to yet it seems everyone we visit, the pastor preaches about how evil all the other churches are and makes fun of and talks trash about them. They dont' have sermons on scriptures or Christ or anything... it's just bash bash bash. Some of my friends go to the churches he bash and they are all good people. How can these pastors and other "Christians" call themselves Christian when all they do is bash others?

After doing research on rape victims in my area, I am extremly upset over the websites that popped up promoting and showing the raping of women. It really upsets me that rape is seen as a fantasy, it's sick! It may be me, but does it make you think or worry more about this happening to you because website help possibly promote this behavior?
