A think tank says that children under the age of 14 should not be treated as criminals.

So if a 10 year old trashes your car or your house, it's not a crime. If a 12 year old rapes a 7 year old, it's not a crime.

It would also mean that the Jamie Bulger killers (who were only 10) should never have been convicted and should probably get compensation.

So, if you commit a crime when you're under 14, you are not a criminal?

What do you think of the people who are proposing this?

John 19:25-27
25Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
26When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son,"
27and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
(NIV)

This text shows who was standing by the cross. There was no man standing there, only women. Doesnt this prove that Mary Magdalene was the disciple whom Jesus loved? And not John!
Could the "son" be a change from "daughter" to make Jesus seem more divine?

I had a night out with my Best friend (S) and his friend (R) a few months ago. I got together with R that night, but didn't tell S as he was going through a bad patch and we didn't want to upset him.

We told S were were going on a date a few days later so he could get used to the idea.

Its been a while, and we aggreed that we would tell the truth. We thought it might be best coming from me as I have known him a lot longer.

My BF said that he valued me enough not to just blurt it out and potentially diturb a good friendship. I was really pleased he said that.

Anyway - you can guess where this is going. They are both away on a pre planned trip, and R texted me last night saying he had told him. My friend was ok about it, and said that S had asked the question directly.

But after what he said about valuing me, I am a bit annoyed. I haven't said anything as I don't want to ruin their trip. I know this isn't a big problem by the way, just thought I would ask. Any thoughts?

my grandfathers uncle lost his leg from a yankee bullet he told me, about his ruined life, caused by that bullet, tears came to his eyes, he loved his uncle, very much, I put a flag on my home, the next week someone came in the back door and set my home on fire, I have been unbelivably kind for twenty years to my black neighbors,95% of southerners who fought back the yankees didnt have slaves, we do not beleave that war had anything to do with negroe slaves, it had to do with geting away from yankee influence, yje north had slaves also,at that time.. we think of that war as the second american revolution, but blacks dont wont me to honor my great uncle, and the hundreds of thousand of southerener killed, the yankees burned our citys, but no not even a little ole flag, what are you afraid of? we are supposed to understand them .and bow to there demands, what about my demand, I will never take down my flag they can burn my home all the way down,I am not a racist,

Most teenagers are angry about something and want to "bring down society". Most of it is harmless, but Islamic fundamentalism is like the Hitler Youth - it takes teen rebellion and turns it into something deadly.

But what can Muslim parents do, any more than the parents of Goths, punks, moshers and other rebels do to prevent it?

Kids are kids - it isn't the parents who are fuelling the violence, but terrorist organsiations and to some extent their apologists, like the Muslim Council of Britain who refuse to fully condemn the terrorism.

This is a geoploitical global problem. Why do the parents have to get the blame? Surely most of them are decent, ordinary working people who have no more idea what their kids get up to than anyone else?

Is this dust that you can see in sunlight floating in the air, the particulate matter of creation itself perhaps? Ghostly, spiritual matter perhaps which can accumulate and cause death in us or healing depending on what it is called on to do? Were there mystics over time who have summoned its energy?

Yes, we all know there is a spell check button. Would it kill you to read something with a typo in it? Why the uptightness? So what if I misspelled a word. If you noticed the mistake, you got the message. Get over yourselves, because you aren't perfect either! No one is!
PS: I agree that questions should be able to be understood if you want answers. I'm talking about the little mistakes, not the "u" for you or "y" for why. Now I agree that that is lazy.

I have this re-occurring dream about a house. This house belonged to one of my mum's friends called Irene. I loved that house, it was so mysterious. As a kid I always wanted to live there it also had a great big garden. There was something 'scary' about it and perphaps that just added to the mystery. In my re-occurring dream I always have the following: I inherited this house and now it's mine. It's exciting to go around and look at everything, I'm always enjoying it, however, the house is haunted and sometimes the spirit or spirits get annoyed so doors start to slam and the rest of it. Nothing violent but enough to make me decide to go away for bit. However, last night I just wanted to stay and wait for the spirit(s) but I woke up. What does this all mean? I really wish I inherited this house.

Okay, some, not all Americans think that way, but look at some of the responses on Yahoo Answers.

In many parts of the world people can live healthy productive lives and enjoy the same freedoms as Americans, if not more. I have lived in America and also about five other countries and, while I enjoy spending time in America - my folks live there, I'm happier living elsewhere for various reasons.

I think this flag-waving we're-the-greatest attitude is one reason why America is getting a bad rep.

because they were accused of insighting violence that killed some muslims 6 years ago. However these 3 never got a fair trial and amnesty international and australia protested. but the executions went ahead today.
the funny thing is the indonesian muslims who carried out the bombings that killed lots of australians and the muslim cleric abu bakr bashir who planned the attack were set free. the bombers are still in jail , but 3 christians even without a proper trial were executed.
what kind of islamic justice is this?

but what really made me cry was when i saw so many indonesian muslims joining in a candlelight vigil to protest the executions in jakarta. these muslims should be honored, and i truly feel that they are part of humanity.

These muslims who joined hands with christians and cried for these 3 christians, could they be the future of islam?
